Decision of single mothers in Czech republic to enter the labor market

Nowadays there are a lot of single mothers and the institution of marriage is not as important for the family life as it used to be. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the present situation of single mothers in the Czech society and to assess the influence of unmarried motherhood on a decision about whether or not to enter the labor market. Currently the topic of single mothers is important because of the election to the Chamber of Deputies since each political party deals with family policy. The theoretical part of thesis evaluates reasons why women want to be and are single mothers, as well as what social benefits they can obtain in their situation. The situation on the labor market will be evaluated from the point of view of a single mother, and the evaluation will focus especially on barriers, motivations to enter the labor market and the reconciliation of work and family life. The practical part presents several model families with various types of family structure with the purpose to show how the social system is abused. Own recommendation follow.
