Malinová, Lenka ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Maršáková, Kateřina (referee)
Title: Differentiation of work-related musculoskeletal disorders among nurses in inpatient and outpatient care units Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine a prevalence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders among nurses and compare localization of disorders among inpatient and outpatient care units nurses. Another goal of the study was to find a connection between WRMDs and occurring common factors. Methods: There was a questionnaire made to conduct this study. It was based on standardised Nordic musculoskeletal questionnaire (NMQ) and sent in both printed and electronic form to various healthcare facilities. The research group consisted of 146 respondents, mostly women, that work as a nurse. Results were processed from obtained data and the conclusions were determined. Results: In the last 12 months, 87 % of nurses suffered from work-related musculoskeletal disorders in at least one area of their body. The most commonly affected area was lower back and neck, both regions approximately 65 %. The biggest difference between nurses working in inpatient and outpatient care units was hand and wrist, where the results showed three times percentage of MS disorder occurence in the first group. Another difference was in lower back area, approximately 20 % less outpatient care units nurses...
Rohatec Special Regime Home
Čadová, Veronika ; Vostrejž, Dušan (referee) ; Boleslavská, Yvona (advisor)
The subject of the master’s thesis was to design an architectural study of a new building for a home with a special regime in Rohatec. This request was made in response to the tornado-destroyed building of the S-center in Hodonín. The request required the design of a multi-functional facility with a private garden for 90 patients and 100 staff working over two shifts. The selected land is located at the end of Rohatec, mostly surrounded by forest and a few family houses. At the same time, it‘s located by the main road, so it‘s easily accessible by everyone. The building is designed as a 3 story building with a flat roof and underground parking in the shape of an open U. The shape of the building itself is a compromise between the shape of the land, layout requirements for this type of facility, capacity requirements, and height restrictions according to the master plan. The shape allows for the creation of a private residential garden for the residents of the home, which is closed from the road, with a possible gate connection to the future forest park. The passage between the garden and the building will be enabled by a terrace around the entire perimeter of the inner side of the building. The individual home wings also enable layout separation of the individual departments needed for smooth building operations. Dispositionally, the home has a pharmacy open to the public, an underground parking lot, inpatient and administrative departments, a kitchen with a dining room, a cafe with a buffet, a library, a chapel, a part designated for therapy and space for mani-pedi with a hairdresser, rehabilitation with a gym, and more. The necessary technical background for the operation of the building, workshop spaces, a laundry room with a dryer, an ironing room, and storage rooms are also designed here.
Brno City Hospital
Trnová, Jana ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Sedláček, Michal (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the design of a new city hospital in Brno, located in the north of the city, in the territory of the Technology Park. Due to the current epidemiological situation, which showed us the importance of quality medical care and the need to modernize both city hospitals in Brno, the idea arose to build a completely new city hospital. The diploma thesis was based on a pre-diploma project solved within the subject NGA056 Specialized studio from 2021, whose task was to design an urban concept of a new hospital complex. The area is defined by the development area according to the zoning plan, located north of the existing turntable of tram no. 12. The main access road is Purkyňova Street from the west. In the southern tip of the solved locality, the expansion of the existing depot in Medlánky is expected. The diploma thesis deals with the architectural study of the new city hospital. The solved area is unique in its inclination, to which the solution of the construction also responds. The hospital is divided into several outcrops, where its organic shape responds to the otherwise disparate local development of technology companies and research centers. The hospital offers a bed capacity of 550 beds. Parking spaces reach the number of 600 spaces. Parking is provided in the hospital building on its underground floors. This largely solves the problem of insufficient parking capacity in the given locality. The architectural study deals with the design of large hospital operations such as emergency rooms, ambulances, wards, ICUs or operating rooms. The aim of the design was to create a quality hospital complex, pleasant for staff and patients. The proposal thus responds to studies dealing with the beneficial effect of the presence of greenery on the healing process of patients. The aim was to provide this view to everyone without distinction.

The Concept of Optimalization of Hospital Bed Fund in the Vysočina Region
Mlčák, Jan ; Lešetický, Ondřej (advisor) ; Dostál, Leoš (referee)
Thesis concentrates on theory and practical issues regarding hospital bed fund. In its theoretical part, the thesis describes reasons that lead to optimalization of hospital bed fund and methods used for calculation of suitable amount of hospital beds. In its practical part it focuses on a concept proposal of a hospital bed fund optimalization in the Vysočina region while calculating a minimal amount of hospital beds needed using deterministic methods arising from empiric formulas. This concept is then compared to already existing concept created by General Healthcare Insurance Company of the Czech Republic (in Czech: Vseobecna Zdravotni Pojistovna).
