Krýžová, Sofie ; Klimeš, David (advisor) ; Lábová, Sandra (referee)
The thesis Diversity of Sources in Economic News summarizes the current knowledge of the fields of sociology of news and sources and the view of the relationship between journalists and their sources. It then applies these concepts in quantitative research that focuses on sources cited in the economic sections of five selected Czech online news sites (Seznam Zprávy, Novinky.cz, iDnes.cz, TN.cz and iPrima.cz). Similar research focused on economic news in the Czech Republic has not yet been conducted. The research confirmed that journalists mainly turn to a group of sources from the financial, private company and political environment. The research confirmed that individual media outlets use the same sources repeatedly.
