Dependance of pavement surface skid resistance on aggregate polishing and traffic loading
Dašková, Jaroslava ; Čelko,, Ján (referee) ; Šachl,, Jindřich (referee) ; Vojtěšek, Antonín (referee) ; Kudrna, Jan (advisor)
Road safety is a complex problem. It is influenced mainly by the driver, the vehicle and the road surface. This thesis is focused on the road surface properties and especially skid resistance that directly affect the braking distance and keeping the vehicle in the horizontal curves and thus traffic accidents. The thesis deals with the durability of pavement surface skid resistance, the type of pavement layers and aggregate polishing used in wearing course. The aim of this thesis was to develop the methodology for improvement of road surfaces skid resistance durability and implementation of functional test for their assessment.
Methods of Risk Assessment and Evaluation of Traffic Accidents
Klimešová, Barbora ; Daňková, Alena (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to research the methodological approaches used for reducing traffic accidents. One part of the methods is focused on methods of evaluating traffic accident rate on roads in terms of macro-analysis. Another group of methods for the prediction of traffic accidents. Subsequently, in the practical part the methodology is applied on two selected sections of roads and the resulting values are then compared with the actual dates that can explanatory power of these methods. Another part relates to the economic evaluation of road accidents on selected sections of roads and applications of integral indicators.
Toxicology of opioid analgesics and their impact on traffic accidents in the Moravian-Silesian Region
DOBIÁŠOVÁ, Marcela
The bachelor thesis is devoted to the issue of the use of opioid analgesics, their effect on traffic accidents and accidents caused under the influence. Opioid analgesics, which belong to the group of narcotic and psychotropic substances, are still a topical topic, as a large number of traffic accidents are caused by drivers who are under their influence. The theoretical part is devoted mainly to history, classification of opioid analgesics, distribution of narcotic and psychotropic substances, list of drugs containing narcotic and psychotropic substances in the Czech Republic, occurrence of side effects, addictions, route of administration, detection of addictive substances in the body, but also drug policy strategy in Moravian-Silesian Region, the Czech Republic and the European Union. The practical part is focused on the comparison of traffic accidents caused under the influence of opioid analgesics in the years 2014-2018 in the Moravian-Silesian Region. In the practical part, I processed the results based on the statistics of the Police of the Czech Republic. After evaluating the results, it was found that in the period 2014-2018, the number of traffic accidents under the influence of opioid analgesics increased in the Moravian-Silesian Region, but there was a decrease in traffic accidents caused under the influence of alcohol. At the same time, there was a reduction in the number of people who were slightly injured, severely injured and killed. The result also showed that the most accidents that were caused in the period under the influence of addictive substances were in the South Moravian Region.

Kubíková, Iva
Kubíková, I. Points Evaluation of Drivers. Bachelor thesis: Mendel University, 2017. The Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of road traffic. The main aim of the work is verification of the fact that introduction of the point ratings of driver behavior in the rules of the road in June 2006 are affecting road safety. Literary research is dedicated to, in particular, the definition of terms relating to road traffic. There is also presented the point ratings system of driver behavior itself, and is carried out in its comparison with systems in other European States. In the practical part I make a survey on knowledge about point ratings of drivers. At the conclusion of the work are the individual findings evaluated and it is concluded if the introduction of the system has impact on safety.
The impact of environmental factors on traffic accidents - case study from Liberec Region
Lang, Jan ; Gdulová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Klápště, Petr (referee)
The thesis is based on theoretical foundations and data from the traffics accident rate. The data was processed by Geographical Information System (GIS) which evaluates the influence of the environment on the amount of the traffic accidents rate on a case study of the Liberec region. Theoretical part include the issue of traffic accidents in the czech legislation, specific traffic accidents, the theory of environmental influences on traffic accidents and assesses the importance of statistics with regard to traffic accidents, which forms the foundation for practical work. Practical part performed in the program ArcGIS deals with the determination of accident sites and sections in the district. Within the multi-criteria analysis determines the relationship of traffic accidents with the environment and thus identifies potential sites of traffic accidents.

Do legal measures affect road accidents´ rate in the Czech Republic?
Bohata, Martin ; Melzochová, Jitka (advisor) ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee)
There are more than 1.3 million people killed and tens of millions of people injured every year in road accidents. In the Czech Republic the financial losses due to road accidents are more than 50 billion Czech crowns a year, in the EU it is almost 200 billion euros a year. That is why the goal of every lawmaker should be to rationally affect the traffic flow and to try to lower the number of road accidents and their consequences. In 2005 Czech legislators ratified law no. 411/2005 introducing the "point" system and law no. 133/2011 in 2011 forcing the use of winter tyres. This paper studies the impact of these laws on road accidents a on the number of killed and injured people due to road accidents. It studies other possible elements which are likely to affect road accidents. The paper confirms positive influence of the law no. 411/2005 containing the "point" system. There has been a significant decrease in the number of killed and injured people. This fact is accepted at the .01 level. . The effect of the law no. 133/2011 has not been proved for now. That is because of short evaluation time, ergo lack of data.
