Art therapy as a support tool for high school art students

This bachelor thesis introduces the possibilities of incorporating art therapy as a supportive method for secondary art school students. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the term adolescence, the issue of physical and psychological changes during high school and the most common behavioural disorders associated with this period. It also briefly describes the characteristic principles of art therapy. The practical part is based on the author's work with selected pupils. Case studies of individual respondents with whom the author has worked during several sessions are described. The characteristics of the art expression of the pupils of the secondary art school are also presented. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to outline the possibilities of using art therapy in secondary art schools and the effects it has on pupils.
