Průchová, Simona
The thesis deals with particular green spice like Mentha longifolia L., Mentha spicata L., Mentha tomentosa Sm. 'Fíková', Mentha suaveolens Ehrt. 'Jablečná', Mentha piperita 'Persephone', Origanum vulgare L., Origanum heracleoticum L., Origanum vulgare L.'Aureum', Origanum vulgare L. 'Thumbles variety', Satureja montana L., Satureja hortensis L., Salvia glutinosa L., Salvia verbanaca L., Salvia verticilata L., Salvia lyrata L., Salvia przewalskii Maxim, Salvia officinalis L. 'Purpurascens', Allium nutans L., Allium stipitatum L., Allium tuberosum Rottl. Ex Spreng. In theoretic part a botanical charakteristics of the spice, legislation concerning the green spice, new information about vitamin C and factors influencing the content of ascorbic acid in plants are described. In practical part, the content of vitamin C in vegetative and generative growth phase has been determined. Results have been evalueted and compared.
Biologicky aktivní látky vybraných taxonů rodu Mentha L. a možnosti jejich využití v ochraně rostlin
Kaffková, Katarína
Taxa of Mentha L. were evaluated during 2011-2014. Thirty-five taxa were evaluated in terms of morphological parameters, in term of constituents (quantity and quality of essential oil, content of phenols and flavonoids) and insecticidal activity of essential oils on Musca domestica and Culex quinquefasciatus Say. Essential oils were obtained by steam-distillation and their composition was determined by GC/MS. Content of phenolics was evaluated by Folin-Ciocalteu assay, content of flavonoids was determined by aluminium chloride colorimetric assay and antioxidant capacity was determined by DPPH method. Insecticidal activities were evaluated according to the modified WHO methodology. The best insecticidal activity, for Musca and Culex, was observed in case of essential oil with majority stake of piperitenone oxide, namely essential oils obtained form taxa M. suaveolens 'Variegata' and M. sp. 'Cinderella'.

The aim of this thesis was gathering current literature data on factors (internal - the type, stage of development) and (external - soil and climatic conditions for cultivation) that most affect the oil content in the genus Mentha L. On the basis of the results obtained during laboratory analysis of quantitative content of essential oils in plants of the genus Mentha L. taxa planted on an experimental plot of garden-technical faculty in the refrigerator was a hypothesis based harvesting time, the impact of species and cultivars on the essential oil content is confirmed. Further, the predicted calculation that based on the current state of the essential nutri-ents in the soil experimental plot could be the addition of nitrogen fertilizer to increase the amount of green mass, and while maintaining the integrity of the plants, especially leaf area increase the total yield of oil from the cultivated taxa genus Mentha L. The direct impact of climatic conditions on essential oil content was not established due to the very dry summer with little rainfall and dependence on irrigation.

In the final work was described significant species of mint, their use and contain substances. A close attention was paid to phenolic compounds and characterization external and internal factors then were assessed influencing their quantity and quality. It was examined environmental plants, a complex of external factors, which Mentha L. actively responds. For the assessment of internal factors were compared contents of phenolic compounds in different species and varieties of the genus Mentha L., it was also evaluated the effect on ontogenetic development of the internal quality.
