Vienna Housing Market Analysis
Červeňan, Peter ; Mikulík, Michal (referee) ; Pelčák, Svatopluk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on Vienna housing analysis. Currently, housing is becoming an inaccessible commodity, particularly for socially and economically weaker groups of the population and young people. This problem is primarily caused by high demand and low supply on the housing market. The state and local governments play a significant role in this issue. Especially in creating legal frameworks for supporting or protecting citizens or supporting construction and managing the city's housing stock. The aim of this thesis is to comprehensively analyze the functioning of the municipal rental housing system in Vienna, identify the factors affecting the housing market and compare housing policies between Vienna and other cities.
Community housing in Brno-Komín
Streďanská, Lucie ; Pekár, Pavel (referee) ; Novák, Antonín (advisor)
The subject of the master's thesis is the development of a proposal for a multi-functional building as a part of a new community housing complex in Brno-Komín near Řezáčova Street. The proposed area is situated between the existing panel houses of the original housing estate and open countryside in a relatively sloping terrain. The current condition of the site is neglected. There is a large amount of air raid greenery, and the entire area is impermeable. The goal of the proposal is not only to make the area accessible across the board, but also to design a varied residential environment for new and existing residents. This primarily involves differentiating individual spaces and proposing a wider range of activities in contrast to the original 'monofunctionality' of the existing housing estate. The design of a specific house in this diploma thesis follows the urban design concept, transportation design, greenery, rainwater management, and microclimate solutions outlined in the urban study from the previous semester.

Too high a price, missing a balcony, unsuitable world orientation, small space... most of us, those who have decided to choose our own path for an independent life, have already had this experience. Looking for housing is one of the most difficult life challenges nowadays. It is a challenge during which a person finds out how far he is willing to go in order to become independent. We often come across housing that does not even meet the standard required for living in an apartment, but even so, they are provided at unreasonable prices. This is also a frequent factor why many young people and families stay with their parents until a relatively late age or do not move out at all, which significantly affects the human psyche and interpersonal relationships as well. The goal of the TRI project is to create affordable urban housing for young adults and families in Louny. The main motive became the connection of life in the apartment with the outdoor space, which is difficult for a person with a limited budget to access. TRI consists of 3 sets of apartments, which, in addition to the apartments themselves, also offer many opportunities to use the exterior to the fullest. With their composition, they form three barriers separating the traffic infrastructure from the inner block, thereby creating a pleasant and safe life for residents in close contact with public space.
