The practical part expands the topic to a global scale with a table of plant species containing psychedelics and being utilized to some extent by indigenous people. Informations about these species were selected from available literature. The table shows that the predominant species are from the families Cactaceae na Fabaceae, from Central and South America. Most comonnly from arid or moist habitats. From psychedelics, they mainly contain various tryptamines and phenylethylamines. Parts of the plant used are primarly seeds, stems and leaves.
