The Theme of Time in Borges's Short Stories
Vadasová, Vendula ; Housková, Anna (advisor) ; Poláková, Dora (referee)
(in English): The work focuses on the short story collections Fictions and The Aleph by the Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges. It focuses on the topic of time from a philosophical point of view and subsequently develops it gradually through the analysis of individual short stories. In the individual chapters, time is projected in connection with the theme of dream, maze, life, death, eternity or fate. The aim of the work is to point out how the author perceives time in his short stories, in connection with other topics. Time is an integral part of human existence and cannot be escaped from, as it directly determines our existence.
