Influence of selected feeding supplements on the occurrence of coccidias in digestive tract of hens
PAZDERKOVÁ, Lenka
Poultry farming represents 30 % of meat production worldwide. The occurrence of animal parasites is an enormous problem of poultry farming. This problem is recorded from factory farming as well as from small farming and causes financial losses. The aim of this study was to gain basic data about the occurrence of coccidia oocysts in the excrements of carrier hens. Carrier hens were fed by dietary supplements which were supposed to have influence on native gut microflora composition. This experiment was conducted on 26 individuals of carrier type hens. It was created the experimental and control group (one group consisted of 13 individuals). The experimental group was prebiotics (Biopolym), probiotics (Lactovita) and homeopathic served 14 days in and between each preparation was 14 days interval. The samples of excrements were tested in a laboratory once a week. The decrease of frequency of coccidian oocysts occurrence in the excrements in the experimental and control group was not proved.

HEINDL, Jakub
This bachelor thesis deals with problematic of launch of fortified cages. From 1.1. 2012 new regulation from European Union came into practise. This regulation is valid for all mass breeds within EU and deals with obligation of tranfer from unfortified cages to fortified cage systems. In theoretical part of the thesis problematic of this field is being examined with focus on explanation of basic terminology. Practical part follows the fulfillment of the target, in terms of impact analysis from the consumer´s and producer´s point of view. Furthermore the market analysis of the recent situation has been processed and moreover nowadays conditions of housing in cages according to the welfare were compared.
Iodine content in eggs
MIKULOVÁ, Magda
The aim of diploma work was contents supervision iodine solution in egg yolk in the consumer eggs and evaluates importance of eggs as an iodine source in human nutrition. In total, iodine content was determined in the yolk of 189 eggs (large flocks) and 210 eggs (small flocks). There were 3,2 times lower of iodine content in the egg yolk from small flocks compare to eggs from large flocks. Eggs from large flocks cover 2 - 25% and from small flocks only 0,4 {--} 12% of the daily iodine requirement in adults. Iodine content in eggs depends on daily iodine intake and the effect of laying cycle. Egg iodine concentration was determined by spectrophotometric metod based on the Sandell-Kolthoff reaction (Bednář a kol. 1964).
