Evaluation of Jan Fischer's Cabinet

In January survey CVVM focused on evaluation of Jan Fischer's government. 75 % of Czechs are satisfied with the person of Prime Minister, 17 % are dissatisfied, 66 % are satisfied with government's performance and 24 % are not. Also government's program (56 % / 24 %) as well as communication with public (56 % / 29 %) is evaluated predominantly positively. 48 % of respondents see positively also a personal composition of Fischer's government, 35 % expressed opposite feeling in this matter.
The Expectations of Czech Citizens towards the Future

In December 2009, the CVVM survey focused on people's fears. Almost two thirds (63 %) of Czechs admitted that they were afraid of something. The most frequent were fear of unemployment, disease and the fall of living standard. Other questions concerned about the future of the personal life of citizens, the future of the Czech society and the future of the whole humankind. The majority was optimistic about their own future (71 %), but only 42 % of informants were optimistic about the Czech society and even less of them were optimistic about the future of the humankind (37 %).
Party Preferences and Voting Model in January 2010

In January survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information : Party preference and a model of voting behaviour. Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not knot who to vote for. Voting model indicate anticipated result of elections to Chamber of Deputies in the time of the survey. Voting model comes out of Party preferences but it includes only those who want to take part in elections and they answered us a Party they would vote for – in short this group does not include undecided people and non – voters.
Czech Republic, Poland & Hungary: Public and Charity

In September survey CVVM have asked some questions concerning charity. It enquired participation on charitable activities of respondents from the period of last 12 months and also people's view of support to charity from the part of Czech firms. Comparable surveys were done in Poland and Hungary as well.
Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in August 2009

Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in August 2009 In May 2009 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to Chambers of Parliament, Government, President, Local and Regional Councils. As a part of the CVVM surveys there is a question about public satisfaction with current political situation in the Czech Republic. The regular survey of public confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation help to monitor development of public attitudes in the long term.
Popularity of Top Politicians

In February 2009 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR investigated whether respondents trust to selected top politicians. They were given a list with 26 names of top politicians. In a survey there were included names of membres of Parliament, president, chairmen of Senate and Chamber of Deputies, leaders of political parties in Parliament, ombudsman and chief of Constitutional Court.
The economic situation of households

In January 2009 CVVM investigated, how Czech citizens evaluate material living conditions of their households and economic situation in the Czech republic, as well. Comapred to previous years the expectations towards the future economic situation are skeptical. 81 % of informants (the highest result ever - 2nd highest was 50 % in january 2004) thought that the economic situation of the Czech republic would get worse in the next year and 49 % were afraid about the future economic situation of their households.
Public about presidential competencies and a type of presidential election

In January survey CVVM focused on topic president´s position in political system of the Czech Republic. The survey investigated citizens´ opinion on constitutional presidental competencies and position of president in foreign politics field of our country. Respondents also talked about what should be other president´s activities and what type of presidental election is the most suitable in the Czech Republic.
