Stress-strain analysis of cranial fixation
Klištinec, Dávid ; Borák, Libor (oponent) ; Marcián, Petr (vedoucí práce)
Injuries and medical treatments in head area deal with stabilization problems of bone tissue. Choosing suitable implant material and fixation system provide decent medical and cosmetic result. In this thesis, it is discussed stress-strain analysis of various titanium fixation plates applied on PMMA implant while increased intracranial pressure is distributed.
Stress-strain analysis of cranial fixators
Klištinec, Dávid ; Chamrad, Jakub (oponent) ; Marcián, Petr (vedoucí práce)
Traumatic injuries often require stabilization or removal of the damaged tissue. Cranioplasty is used to protect the brain and bring aesthetics back to the patient. Choosing the correct material for the cranial implant is essential. Moreover, it needs adequate fixation devices to hold the implant in place and prevent its deformation within patients’ daily life. This thesis is demonstrating the stress-strain analysis of burr hole cover and plate fixators applied on the PMMA implant and their mechanical response on different loading conditions provided by various states of cranial hypertension and force acting on the system from the exterior.
