The financial analysis of AXA životní pojišťovna a.s.

The thesis deals with the financial analysis of AXA životní pojišťovna a.s. during the period from 2005 to 2010. The first chapter is devoted to the theoretical description of the financial analysis of the insurance company, the specificities and the differences from a common company. It is followed by the strategic analysis, which examines major macroeconomic and microeconomic factors affecting an insurance company. Another part of the thesis presents the company, and finally, last chapter explains the financial analysis of the company in order to assess its financial health.

The assistance services in the insurance market

This bachelor thesis deals with assistance services in the Czech insurance market. It contains both general views of assistance services as well as characteristic and also particular examples of assistance offered by the selected sample of Czech insurance companies. The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the various types, forms and approaches to assistance. Finally, it endeavours to evaluate trends and the importance of individual assistance offered by Czech insurance companies. It also includes comparison of basic forms and range of assistance services and expected trends. This thesis serves as an interpretation of the theme and as a guide for readers to choose from the offer of assistance services.

Analysis of the pet insurance

The introductory chapter is devoted to characterization the product in general terms. The main part is dedicated on the analysis of the offers insurance's products. The close part of the essay includes a calculation of the pricex for specific examples.

Comparison on-line insurance offers of insurance companies in the Czech Republic

Abstract The topic of this thesis is the analysis of internet insurance offers in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the overview of insurance products which you are able to take out via the Internet. It also deals with individual types of insurance, selected insurance companies and services they offer. The first part of my thesis focuses on the theoretical area of the given issue and the definition of insurance, the types of insurance and the basic terms are explained here. The second part is based on a comparison of the insurance products, taken out via the Internet, and it aims at their comparison. In conclusion the possibilities of misuse of the insurance products offer and the way of paying for the products are mentioned. A Set of Problems connected with Insurance Fraud in the Czech Republic

The insurance fraud is frequent type of criminality at the present time. The perpetrators of this crime cause heavy economic damages to insurance companies. Objective of the thesis called "The insurance fraud in the Czech Republic" is to evaluate the current state of the problem of insurance fraud in the Czech Republic from the perspective of insurance companies, law enforcement authorities and new legislation. As well to describe the way of detection and investigation, characterize the offender, analyze the most frequent cases, typical methods of committing insurance fraud and to evaluate the statistics and trends from previous years. In the thesis are explained the principles of detecting insurance fraud in insurance companies and the preventive measures. Part of the thesis is to identify weaknesses in the fight against the insurance fraud.

Analysis of market insurance products through multi-criteria decision making methods

The aim of my thesis is using a questionnaire to find out level of insurance, habits and preferences of respondents in selected areas of insurance. These results will also be used as input data for the analysis of the insurance products of selected insurance companies. Offers of insurance company will be assessed by several criteria. The formed options will be evaluate by multi-criteria methods for evaluation of alternatives. Insurance offer will be assessed on the basis of model examples using the above mentioned methods. There will be analyzed the products of the compulsory insurance, travel insurance and property insurance. The output of my thesis will be identification of the best deals in each type of insurance and also in general. In addition, there will be created a sequence of other insurance companies with their percentage ranking. It will also be evaluated the insurance company, which respondents considered as the best and also those for which they usually have their insurance contracts. Analyzed insurance companies will be selected on the basis of survey results.

Business Intelligence for Insurance

The thesis focuses on the application of Business Intelligence technologies in the insurance area, aiming concretely at their use in insurance companies. The aim is to introduce and summarize the various processes and information needs that are part of an insurance company and the ways that business intelligence tools can support and improve those processes. To achieve this goal I describe and present the internal functioning of the main processes in insurance companies emphasizing on data examples and the concrete use of BI. Furthermore, I point out two specific examples of Business Intelligence products, which are built and are aimed for the insurance industry. Specifically, I review InsFocus Business Intelligence product from InsFocus Insurance and SAS Business Intelligence from SAS. These two products are reviewed in terms of architecture, functionality and implementation process. At the end of the thesis, I've created a theoretical analysis for a Business Intelligence implementation in a fictitious insurance company. The benefit of this work is to present a comprehensive look at the advantages of Business Intelligence for insurance companies, at some specific products which relate to BI and insurance, and a look at the way that an analysis for a BI insurance solution is made.

Travel insurance from the view of assistance company

This bachelor's thesis describes and explains service of assistance companies in the range of assistance in travel insurance. It defines the concept of travel insurance, the scope and territorial validity of individual types of policies, and its many options. This work also seeks to provide information on products of selected insurance companies, compares them, and mentions interesting facts related to provided assistance and its terms and conditions. From the perspective of the assistance company, it describes the process of assistance services from deciding on the payment of the costs incurred, related powers and responsibilities that assistance company takes for the relevant insurance, to the legal definitions of this cooperation. In the conclusion, the thesis sheds light on trends and the importance of travel insurance.

The goal of the submitted thesis "Audit of Commercial Insurance Company" is to introduce the process of the audit of the insurance company. Theoretical part of the thesis contains a general introduction to audit, general auditors procedures and audit legislation. Practical part describes the audit of commercial insurance company with main focus on audit of the financial investments, gross premiums written, technical reserves and claim payments.
