Nutrition and feeding influence for economic parameters of milk production
DOLEŽAL, Tomáš
The thesis aims to evaluate the influence of nutrition and feed on the economic indexes of milk production in the Agriculture Cooperative of Borovany. The first part of the thesis focuses on the basic aspects of dairy cattle breeding including the physiological processing affecting their efficiency. The second part concentrates on preparing feed rations, describing the crucial elements specifying the level of milk yield and a particular way of feeding technique. The main factors influencing the economic indexes of milk production are desribed and analyzed in the pivotal part of the thesis, primarily the feed costs and quality. The objective of the thesis is to find out in what way the feed quality can affect the economic indexes of milk production in the observed years of 2007 and 2008.
Influence of chosen effects on efficiency of beef breeds
WITZANY, Jiří
Influence of chosen effects on efficiency of beef breeds Aberdeen Angus, Charolais, Limousine and meat-type Siemental, which were breeded in South Bohemia, was observed in this study. Impact of breed on average weight of calves in different ages, calving month and the serial number of the birth, influence of father´s relative breeding value, dependence of average age of pure bred female on reason of elimination and effect of stocking rate of a pasture on daily weight gain were evaluated.
Animal hygine aspects in foothills area
ZEVLOVÁ, Eliška
The focus of following thesis is to evaluate selected aspects of animal hygine of livestock husbandry in term of welfare in foothills area. The study covers two private-owned farms in the same area, however with entirely different attitude to stock husbandry. Welfare itself is not easy to quantify and to mesure, but we can pass judgment on the over-all comfort of stock using folowing indicators: health condition, reproductive potential, production efficiency etc.. All above memtioned indicators consist of many aspects. The most important are, alimentation, diet, technology of stockmanship and stress. This thesis involves comparsion of animal welfare and its economical utilization and if the condionts of stock husbandry provided by farmers response welfare standarts . To summe up, the technology of free housing respect more the ethological demand of stock.
The comparing of the economics of breeding cow in the free and stanchion housing
KOTTOVÁ, Michaela
The aim was to compare and evaluate the economics of breeding in the free and stanchion housing, in the free housing for the use of modern milking robots. The account has been taken as parameters of performance and fertility and return on investment in free housing with milking robots. The results of the holding area farming of 1800 hectares at an altitude of 500-800 meters above sea level, two stanchion housing and one free stalls, which were used in the milking robot is an economically challenging investment were evaluated in the study. All three stalls were followed for two years, the milk production and fertility were analyzed and the economics of processing the results were recorded in 1083 cows. It was found that in the stall with free housing and milking with robots, while costs increased, but compared to the breeding of stanchion housing has reached the breeding of higher productivity, lower losses and less incidence of health disorders. In the first period this activity showed a profit. In the second period, the results are affected by problems of low farm-gate milk prices, which persist to this day. Observed results suggest that the favorable economic situation of the company in terms of investment and breeding conditions can only recommend a change from a serious technology for open housing, but also the use of milking robots, which are significant savings in labor costs. However, it is necessary to allow for depreciation of new buildings and thus with the high cost of feeding cows the day or unit of production. Free housing has high performance and milk quality, was also detected in the free stall successful reproduction due to better recognize heat and favorable overall welfare of dairy cows.
Evaluation of production characteristics of sheep breeds merinolandschaf
KRÁLOVÁ, Lucie
Evaluation of production characteristics of sheep breeds merinolandschaf were compared with results of performance tests of the reference density to the national results. The results of the performance tests can indicate that the percentage of fertilization in animals was monitored until 2007, the average fertilization throughout the Czech Republic and since 2008 the percentage of fertilization on the contrary decreased. Fertility percentage over the period from year to year increases. In 2006 the fertility rate was 121,5 % in 2010 it was already150,8 %. The average for the period was 137,7 %. Average intensity (the ratio of the number of lambs born to ewes in the number of reproduction) between the years 2006 to 2010 it was 121,6 %. Raising the reference breed merinolandschaf was on average 105,84 % in a five-year period. From the control performance arises that the weakest year for rearing was the year 2009 with only 77,1 %. Shearing of the wool at the reference density in 2007 was 3,49 kg and in 2008 - 3,7 kg. The diference between the weight of the wool was 1,31 kg in 2007 and in 2008 it was only 0,3 kg in favor of the nationwide results. On average, each year in the replacement of the years 2006 - 2010 Paseky included in breeding ewes 73,8 ewes, were pregnant was 64,4 pc and 9,2 pc reactive. In 2006 it was achieved the best results by the number of lambs weaned (zero deaths). On the other hand, in 2009 there was a large number of sheep deaths (25 dead lambs). On average per year was reared during the reporting period, five lambs of 76,4 and 81,8 live births lambs overall average of 89 lambs. The weight of lambs at birth followed a five-year period was on average 3,44 kg in 100 days and 22.15 kg. From the results obtained from performance tests from 2006 - 2010 arises that the combined merinolandschaf breed is suitable for possible use as a maternal race in the production of slaughter lambs.
Comparison of growth and survival of selected tench breeds in performance test
PRCHAL, Martin
This thesis is focused on comparison of performance traits of growth and survival of selected breeds of the common tench using the pure-blooded animal breeding method. The best way how to compare performance traits of particular breeds is through so-called performance tests. For this thesis following breeds were chosen: Vodňanské -(V), Hlubocké(H), Königswartha (German - N), Mariansko-Lázeňské (ML) and Romanian(R). The Golden tench were chosen as a control breed in order to correct the influence of the environment on the weight achieved. The testing began with selection and stripping preparation of spawners of relevant breeds selected for testing. Own performance test of selected groups proceeded from yolk - sac fry to the age of L2 in ponds with semi-intensive farming. Each tested breed was bred in the first growing period and in winter period together with the control group only. After group marking (the second growing period) by the cryogenic method, all breeds were bred together with triplication. In the first testing period reproductive parameters of spawners and their weight and survival of tested breeds were evaluated, in other period only weight and survival were evaluated. Reproductive parameters in males did not vary statistically in none of the parameters using any statistical method. In females significant differences were proved only between the breeds ?Hluboká? and the control breed. After the second growing period the highest weight was achieved by the Mariánsko-Lázeňské breed (112.9 ? 44.9 g), whose weight was statistically comparable only with German breed (105.4 ? 32.4 g). The survival after this period ranged from 70,4 % (Romanian breed) to 84,1% (Mariánsko-Lázeňské breed) and all breeds had statistically comparable values. The best performance traits after the second year of testing was achieved by the Mariánsko-Lázeňské breed.
Analysis of utility and fertility of a cow herd of Holstein breed
ZETKOVÁ, Jana
The point of the work was to make an analysis of milk production an and fertility and to attest dependence of milk production and fertility in the holstein cattle herd. Background materials were acquired especially from milk production control and cattle accompanying documents. Data of 251 dairy cows were worked up. Big problem of the high producing dairy cows is the low fertility. That is why the work was focused on analysing of milk production and fertility index. Service period, insemination interval and interval were analysed out of the fertility index. Milk production, proteins and fats percentage content represent the efficiency. The results show the high selection of cows out of the herd. It result shows from a number of included heifers. Most frequent reasons of selection are health condition, low milk efficiency and fertility disorders. Average efficiency in control increases. On the other hand the protein contest in milk is weak. A breading aim 3,3% was achieved only in year 2003 (3,32%). Milk production increases from the first to the third lactation. Milk production is decreasing from the fourth lactation. Fat percentage content increases to the third lactation, then it stagnates. The protein content goes down with number of lactation. Required interval length to 400 days is exceed in all lactation. Service period is to high regardless of lactation number. Insemination interval increases to the third lactation, then it decreases, but it is nonconforming all the time. The results show that fat and protein content decreases with milk production. The high milk production was reached on cows calved in autumn (8920,77 kg) and in winter (9231,48 kg). Data of cows calved in spring and in summer are almost the same. The results evidence general rule, that fertility decreases with increasing milk production.
Possibilities of Measuring the Effect of the Production Factors
KLŮFOVÁ, Alena
The main aim of my work is to consider possibilities and the meaning of measuring the effect of production factors. It requests to describe factors, that influence this effectvivity and to evaluate the impact on economic results in the company. The practical part is intent on the calculation and analysis of productivity of labour and milk production in not named agricultural cooperative from South Bohemia region in the period of five years, eventually to give the proposal of the arrangement for raising the effect of production factors in observed company.
Analysis of beef cattle breed
KOLOUŠKOVÁ, Martina
The purpose of this thesis was to analyze the efficiency and fertility of beef cattle herd kept without market milk production on a farm Ostrý u Jistebnice, owned by ing. Pavel Kozák. Monitoring of the herd took place in the period between the year 2006 and 2008. The objects of analysis were 149 purebred cows and 296 calves of Belgian Blue, Blonde d{\crq}Aquitaine, Charolais, Limousin and Simmental breeds. At cows, age during first calving, time interval between calving, number of birth and occurance of complicated birth have been recorded. The weight of calves at birth, in the age of 120, 210 and 365 days, has been checked and average daily increments have been counted.
