In the first part of this study, there is theoretical description of automobile industry and factors influencing price of car. The second part is devoted on developing the predictive model, suitable transformation of explanatory variables, interpretation of results and the car price classification in form of decision tree.
Predictive Analytics - Process and Development of Predictive Models
Praus, Ondřej ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Mrázek, Luboš (referee)
This master's degree thesis focuses on predictive analytics. This type of analysis uses historical data and predictive models to predict future phenomenon. The main goal of this thesis is to describe predictive analytics and its process from theoretical as well as practical point of view. Secondary goal is to implement project of predictive analytics in an important insurance company operating in the Czech market and to improve the current state of detection of fraudulent insurance claims. Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The process of predictive analytics and selected types of predictive models are described in the theoretical part of the thesis. Practical part describes the implementation of predictive analytics in a company. First described are techniques of data organization used in datamart development. Predictive models are then implemented based on the data from the prepared datamart. Thesis includes examples and problems with their solutions. The main contribution of this thesis is the detailed description of the project implementation. The field of the predictive analytics is better understandable thanks to the level of detail. Another contribution of successfully implemented predictive analytics is the improvement of the detection of fraudulent insurance claims.

Kyselý, Ondřej ; Novotný, Jiří (advisor) ; Steinich, Michal (referee)
The goal of the diploma thesis is to create allocation model for Miss Sport project. This project is a platform, which allows effective association of sponsors and female athletes, who are members of the project. It results in decision tree, whose biggest advantage is in transparency and rate of decision making. One of the objectives is to analyze most important criteria, which are necessary to segment female athletes. One part is a list of aspects, which are important to sponsorship, but they are not included in allocation model directly. Research target is focused on evaluation of attractiveness of female athletes as one of the criteria, which are important for potential sponsors.
RISK IN INVESTMENT DECISIONS
GARDOŠ, Radek
The topic of this thesis is the evaluation of risk in enterprise. First section summarizes common knowledge related to investment process and states methods used for analysis of risk and investments efficiency. Each project contains some degree of risk and it is required to be aware of these risks and to develop the necessary responses to get the desired level of project success. Because projects' risks are multidimensional, they must be evaluated by using risk evaluation methods. The aim of this part is to provide an analytic tool to evaluate the project risks. At first the thesis analysis net present value and other investment criteria of the construction project without risk factors. Subsequently the projects' risks are are evaluated by using risk premium. To study of how projected performance varies along with changes in the key assumptions on which the projections are based is used the sensitivity analysis. The main sources for data was the enterprise environment.

The topic is divided into three parts. The first part describes the theoretical framework and approaches linked to logistic regression (chapter 2 and 3). The second part analyses the experience with the usage of logistic regression in Czech market research companies (chapter 4) and the topic is closed by applying the method on real data and comparing the output to the classification tree output (chapter 5 and 6).
Comparison of approaches to creating credit scoring models
Hofman, Elena ; Šedivý, Jan (advisor)
This work is focused on the management of a credit risk related to the traditional bank lending business to individuals. The paper deals with a theory of measuring risk with help of PD (Probability of Default) parameter when different scoring models are used. The goal is to outline an issue with the credit risk and its management in general, attention is paid to details of a process of creating scoring models. There are three specific modeling techniques listed, namely logistic regression, decision trees and neural networks. Methods are explained in detail and are given possibilities of mutual comparison. The application part is devoted to the evaluation and comparison of credit scoring models based on these methods.
