Diploma thesis describes basics terms of data visualization elements in the theoretical part. There are the following main topics covered -- importance of data visualization in business management, description and application of main chart types, design and usage of complex visualizations (dashboards), key features of modern data visualization technology. Theoretical grounds are then applied on real examples from different companies in order to show how managers can benefit from good data visualization techniques. Examples from significantly different areas were chosen -- financial management, operations management, analysis of process efficiency.
School in Zlata Koruna and its visual didactic application of basic education

The thesis deals with the School of Zlatá Koruna and its visual didactical application of basic education. First part is orientated on a pedagogical efficiency in the use of instruments and didactical pictures in the structure of teaching. The main part contains the digitizing of pictures from Zlatá Koruna with the encryption of hidden details. The conclusion of the thesis is engaged in the possible utilization of artafacts from Zlatá Koruna in current education.

Automatic Visualization Method of Height–Time Development of Ionospheric Layers

An automatic method for visualization of variability of ionospheric plasma in terms of ionospheric layers is presented. Here, we use the virtual reflection height for visualization. We directly plot the height–time dependence using original raw digisonde outputs. It gives us an opportunity to promptly visualise the ionospheric digital data and locate events of the interest for further analysis. In this paper, we present a variability in height of E-layer with a special focus on the sporadic E-layer. The proposed method is applicable for any ionospheric region.
Visualization of Flow Separation and Control by Vortex Generators on an Single Flap in Landing Configuration

This paper focuses on a suppression of the flow separation, which occurs on a deflected flap, by means of vortex generators (VG's). An airfoil NACA 63A421 with a simple flap and vane-type vortex generators were used. The investigation was carried out by using experimental and numerical methods. The data from the numerical simulation of the flapped airfoil without VG's control were used for the vortex generator design. Two sizes, two different shapes and various spacing of the vortex generators were tested. The flow past the airfoil was visualized through three methods, namely tuft filaments technique, oil and thermo camera visualization. The experiments were performed in closed circuit wind tunnels with closed and open test sections. The lift curves for both cases without and with vortex generators were acquired for a lift coefficient improvement determination. The improvement was achieved for several cases by means all of the applied methods.
Initial velocities of free-settling spherical particle

The paper deals with experimental research of the initial phase of free-settling spherical particle which density is close to the density of water. The experiments were carried out with a smooth particle as well as with a particle with a rough surface. The obtained results show that in the initial phase of sedimentation, there is a formation of vortex structures, which are reflected in the increase of resistance in coefficient values.

An experimental study has been carried out concentrated on visualization of the two-phase flow in a thin-gap micro reactor. The experiments concentrated on evaluation of the rate of formation, size and rate of coalescence of gas bubbles under various conditions of flow and electric current load.
