The significance of landscape in the formation of human religiosity (with secondary students)
KNĚZ, Miroslav
The object of this paper is searching for the significance of understanding landscape in the formation of human religiosity. The first part of the paper called Human and landscape attempts to present general characteristics of the relationship of humans and landscape. The second part is devoted to the development of landscape perception of some authors (J. J. Rousseau, Jiří Sádlo, Václav Cílek). The third chapter finds connections between internal experience and the environment humans live in. It is a dynamic relationship which affects the formation of religiosity. Further, human religiosity, the symbolic meaning of landscape and the specific characteristics of adolescence are defined. The conclusion presents particular suggestions for educational work with young adolescents by means of dialogue and participation in landscape.
The significance of spirituality in the educational process
KOMENDA, Vladimír
Based on this bachelor thesis I wanted to map the key moments in spiritual development of a school-aged child (6-13 years), then to identify and analyse spiritual aspects in education with respect to latent nature of spirituality today. The objective of the work was to answer the major research question, whether religious parents realize the significance of spiritual aspects in education and in spiritual perception of their children. The way of bringing up children in two Christian families was analysed using the respondents? answers. The analysis revealed in which situations religious parents realize the significance of spirituality in education and spiritual perception of their children. Information needed for this thesis was obtained by the method of a qualitative ? semi-structured interview with five open questions focused on individual aspects of Christian education. The interviews clearly show the significance attached to spiritual aspects of education and to spiritual perception of their children by respondents. If a child is able to reflect the spiritual nature of life, it can be assumed that this ability becomes his auspices when dealing with significant life situations. The results of the thesis could be used as further material for sociological studies of a similar theme or as study material for social workers or students of social sciences.

Economics of happiness and religion: Are trappists in the trap of distress?
Tomanová, Julie ; Chalupníček, Pavel (advisor) ; Zajíček, Miroslav (referee)
This work is questioning whether religiosity could be one of the significant factors that have an impact on subjective well-being within the realm of economics of happiness. The data for the analysis of this correlation comes from the mostactic order of Trappist monks. The reason for choosing this contemplative and reclusive order is the effort to limit subsidiary factors that influence this relationship in the outside world. The outputs of this questionnaire after being compared with the results of similar studies and researches confirmed the positive relationship between the religiosity of Trappist monks and their subjective well-being, purpose in life and selfactualisation.
Satisfaction of Spiritual Needs of In-Patients
ŠROTOVÁ, Jana
According to holistic philosophy, the current trend in the care for patients is satisfying their needs. The problem is that members of medical staff perceive certain needs easier than others, and automatically focus on professional care mainly for biological needs of in-patients. This thesis attempts to prove that even though the spiritual needs of patients are naturally below other needs, they cannot be ignored because the peace of mind of in-patients plays a significant role in their treatment. The theoretic part outlines spirituality as a constant need of all people, and tries to distinguish it from religion. The questions about the meaning and essence of human existence are rooted in the minds of all people. Some people are more sensitive to them, while others don{\crq}t perceive them. When seeking the truth and answers, people often identify themselves with ideas already expressed and professed. If a person looking for answers joins people with similar views and persuasion, he or she becomes a member of some religion, church, or community. The problem of the medical staff is that they reduce satisfaction of the spiritual needs of these people to mere respect for the required liturgy, which is extremely valuable and necessary, but it should not be confused with the needs of human spirituality, as mentioned above. In-patients need to be treated sensitively by the medical staff and to be accepted without reservations just as they are.

The last part is oriented to setting examples for practising concentration, which should lead the child to the world of meditation. Examples of meditative meetings take into account the playfulness and fantasy of the pre-school child and significantly influence her spiritual development.
