Experiencing an air transport by the patients.
GROULÍKOVÁ, Markéta
Abstract The topic of this undergraduate thesis is experiencing an air transport by the patients. It is undisputable that every change of state of health means a great change for everyone and has a negative impact on one´s psyche. The goal of my thesis was to find out how the patients experience an air transport to a hospital. The particular aims of my thesis were to investigate if the patients are informed about the air transport beforehand, whether they are afraid of the take off or the landing, what the patients find most unpleasant during the transport, if the crew seems professional to the patients. Also the following hypotheses were defined: H1 {--} the fear from the transport differs from the fear from severe state of health, H2 {--} women tend to be more afraid than men. In order to obtain larger amount of information about this problem, I included in the research group men and women of broader age spectrum. The research group was represented by ten respondents. Among these respondents there were not only patients transported from one hospital to another {--} secondary transport, but also patients transported directly from the terrain to a medical institution. A semi-structured interwiew oriented on information and feelings of each respondent was conducted. The interviews proceeded in two stages. The first stage of the interview was carried out before the patient´s transport to a hospital. The second part of the questions was dealt with after the arrival at a heliport. The results of the interviews were compiled in ten casuistries. The hypothesis H1 was affirmed. The hypothesis H2 was not affirmed. The aims of the research were fulfilled. In the thesis it was pointed out that the patients air transported to a hospital are most worried about their state of health and long term hospitalization. The fear from the flight itself is smaller. The results of the thesis prove that the patients are informed about the air transport by a doctor. The patients expect more information from the doctor. The patients were satisfied with the crew but lacked information about the length of the flight. The undergraduate thesis could be used as a source of information for doctors, nurses and paramedics who deal with the patients transported to a hospital by a helicopter. They can help the patients improve experiencing an air transport by providing them with more information concerning the transport by a helicopter.

Regulation of Emotion and the Repressive Coping Style
PRYKOVÁ, Beata
The diploma thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The objective of the theoretical part is to introduce basic terms and ideas related to emotions (with focus on emotional regulation) and to map different views on the possibilities of emotional regulation. Further, the thesis mainly deals with the repressive coping style. Included in the conclusion of the theoretical part is a short chapter dealing with motivation, especially the implicit motives. This whole part of the thesis is based on specialised literature. The practical part contains an empirical research, before the beginning of which a small number of repressors had been found using a screening method. The research itself maps the subjective views of these repressors on the regulation of their own emotions and their implicit motivational tendencies. Conclusions and a summary of results are given at the end of the practical part.

Cognitive biases in decision making process
Trejbal, Pavel ; Pstružina, Karel (advisor) ; Jirků, Petr (referee)
The focus of this thesis is mainly on the area of human decision making. During the decision process we are subjected to several influences, which bias our judgement. Therefore, we may be misguided towards wrong decisions. In addition, it is important that the display of distorted influence is regularly repeated with the same persons. Thus, we may assume that we are talking about a universal apparatus of the human mind. The aim of this thesis is also to identify the above-mentioned influences, and mainly to understand the nature of their origin. The knowledge resulting from the research could become important and useful tool for the reader, since the knowledge may be used for the improvement of our own decisions in both private and professional life. The research is based on interdisciplinary approaches to cognitive science. On one hand we use the functional model of mind, on the other hand we utilize a wide range of empirical data from several fields, such as psychology, behavioral economics and the sciences concerned with the brain. Using these tools, we analyze specific influences, which are considered to be important from the point of view of decision making. They are for example feelings, emotions, social influences, language, self, experience, expectations and prior forms of judgement. Based on the analysis of the influences, hypotheses about their interconnectedness are deduced. Finally, we suggest several practical methods, which should help us to improve our own decision making and help us to avoid wrong conclusions.
