Implementation of the Euro in the Czech Republic in comparison to implementation in Slovakia

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of implementation of the euro in the Czech Republic in comparison to implementation in Slovakia. The aim of the thesis is the analysis of systems of the implementation in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, the comparison of differences and description of reasons why the Slovak Republic implements the Euro earlier than the Czech Republic. The partial aim of the thesis is to discover the impact of the implementation in both countries {--} the real one in the Slovak Republic and the anticipated one in the case of the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two parts for fulfilling aims. The first half of the thesis gives a survey of history of the monetary policy in the European Union and in the Czech Republic. The second half of the thesis focuses on the comparison itself and analyzes the implementation of the Euro in both selected countries. Main criteria for analysis are the fulfilling of Maastricht criteria, adoption of reforms and the authorization of legal acts.
Analyze more closely the criteria for entry the Czech republic into the European Monetary System and subsequent changes to monetary policy

Current financial and economic crisis and the entry of the Czech Republic into the European Monetary Union

This Diploma Paper provides an analysis of the Czech Republic convergence process, which importance grows more in the period before entry into the European Monetary Union. The convergence is evaluated on the basis of three criterion units which are standing alone but fading into each other. It is the Nominal convergence including Maastricht criteria which have been stated in the Treaty on European Union, then Real convergence criteria and criteria which accompany the development of the Optimum Currency Areas Theory. The theoretical part gives the definitions of particular criteria and draw the attention to potential problems which can occur by their interpreting. In the practical part there are comparative characteristics used to analyze achieved state of the convergence in the Czech Republic in relation to EU countries and euro area countries. This part attends also to monitoring the current financial and economical crisis and it's impact on individual indicators.
The andantages and disadvantages of joining the EMU for the Czech republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to discuss whether the Czech Republic is well prepared or not to join The European Economic and Monetary Union. It also describes the advantages and disadvantages connected with membership in The EMU. At the beginning it describes The European Economic and Monetary Union and the process of its formation. It also pays attention to the Maastricht criteria. Their performance is necessary for becoming a member of the EMU. It deals with economic convergence between the Czech Republic and other members of the EMU. Another topic of this work is the current performance of the Maastricht criteria by the Czech Republic. .In the last chapter it focuses on the current economic situation in the Czech Republic and the current economic convergence to the EMU. Finally this work evaluates that in these days the Czech Republic is not ready to join the European Economic and Monetary Union.
Convergence process to EMU - the problem of internal and external economic equilibrium (example of Slovakia and the Czech Republic)

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the process of convergence of the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. The first chapter describes the historical background of the Treaty on European Union and analyzed in detail the criteria that were set for euro entry. The second part is focused on the fulfillment of the convergence criteria of the Czech Republic, the development of individual indicators in the past and presumptions into the future. The third chapter examines the fiscal, monetary and exchange rate policy in relation to compliance with the convergence criteria in the Slovak Republic. Conclusion summarizes and compares the acquired knowledge.

The goal of the bachelor thesis is to find out if the admission of euro in the period of crisis was advantageous for Slovakia on the basis of comparison of the czech and the slovak economy. The first part gives a brief overview of the monetary development of Czech and Slovak National Bank from their creation till present. The last part deals with nominal convergence criteria and their fulfilling by Czech republic and Slovak republic and there is also briefly outlined perspective of euro's admission by Czech republic.
The readiness of Czech Republic for admission of EUR

The main goal of this bachelor work is to appraise readiness of Czech Republic for admission of EUR and investigate which steps are necessary to implement before. First part of this work is dedicated to history of European Union and to steps which have lead to admission of Czech Republic. Further, description of another member countries of European Monetary Union and conditions required for admission of common currency EUR in next part. There is also description of possible scenarios of establishment EUR in Czech Republic. The main focus is on Maastricht's criterias which are supposed to be met for the membership in EMU. Then I'll evaluate the state of fulfilling of Maastricht's criterias by Czech economy. Then I will try to outline the advantages and disadvantages which can EMU membership bring to us. In concluding part of this work I'll describe which way changes monetary politics of Czech central bank after EUR introduction. I'll also assess how ready Czech Republic is for EUR admission in present time.

Object of this work was to characterize impacts of Euro implementation on economy of Slovakia. Work is explaining the background of entry of Slovak republic to economic and monetary union, introductory processes and after-effects. Project work is divided into three major parts. First chapter is clued-up of historic milestones of entry to euro area, compliance with Maastricht criteria and steps provided by government during introductory term. Second chapter deals with progress of macroeconomic values. Third chapter presents results and interpretation of data obtained by conducted research. Research is focused on feelings of citizens of Slovakia after Euro implementation.
Development of the European monetary integration - involvement of the Czech republic

In the beginning, the thesis opens a theme of creation and shaping of the European monetary system and passes on the conditions for the adoption of further states. The next chapter deals with the expectation of the Euro implementation and some reasonings, what changes might occur. The middle part is devoted to the relationship of the European Monetary Union and the Czech republic. There is a timetable for the introduction of the euro and its principles outlined here too. Important is also the view of other states and their experience in entering the eurozone. The last chapter describes the theoretical spheres of the changes for entrepreneurs and businesses, and these are then applied to a specific company in the Czech economy.

Main objective is an analysis of the overall preparedness of the Czech Republic to adopt euro.
