Geolokace prostřednictvím Wi-Fi sítí
Muroň, Mikuláš
This paper discusses issues of geolocation via Wi-Fi networks, primarily geolocation inside buildings. It presents several localization algorithms and analyze their suitability for this usage. Part of the work is program performing geolocation based on the selected algorithm. Algorithms and their implementations are evaluated based on an experimental basis.
WiFi Direct Technology and its practical use
STARÝ, Tomáš
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the possibilities of practical usage of Wi-Fi Direct technology based on experimental verification which will be carried out using two mobile devices. Basic analysis of network properties will be performed on these two devices and the measured results will be compared with the theoretical values of Ad-hoc and BlueTooth technologies. We will determine where this new technology could be used in practice based on this comparison.
Design and security of small wireless network
Žižka, Ladislav ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
This thesis deals with design and security of small wireless network. Main goal of the thesis is home network design and choice of optimal solution of wireless security. The thesis has four parts. The first part describes computer networks and network components in theory. Next part deals with network design, choosing of network components and setting of them. It also describes some functionalities of alternative firmware DD-WRT. The third part presents common wireless security and network analyzing software. In the last part there are proved some types of attacks against Wi-Fi networks with Aircrack-ng suite.
Wireless Security Audit
VRÁTNÝ, Jan
This bachelor thesis deals with security problems of wireless networks, also known as Wi-Fi. The purpose of the thesis is to explain the concept of Wi-Fi network, from what components it is composed, introduce safety devices used in wireless networks, and perform a research in a selected city in a specific location with the largest concentration of people if the wireless networks are secured and if they are what type of security is used. In a domestic environment an illustrative attack will be made on a Wi-Fi network secured by 128-bit WEP key. Also I will describe a new security bug that was discovered at the WPS function. Furthermore, this bachelor thesis will focus in detail on a local business, which in addition to conventional LAN extensively uses Wi-Fi network. An analysis of the security of the Wi-Fi network will be performed and the results will be evaluated to show the economic impact on the company if it were to be subjected to an attack in which sensitive data are leaked.
Design wireless network in the company including radio survey
Kopecký, Matěj ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Šolc, Jiří (referee)
My bachelor thesis focuses on IT infrastructure of business environment, followed by a proposal of solution (deployment of transmitters, connection to existing infrastructure, budget), which is complemented by real deployment of typologically similar or same solution, including radio surveys before and after the deployment. Thesis is divided into several parts. Introductory chapters deal with theoretical concepts, definitions and standards that are important to become familiar with the topic. Theoretical part is followed by practical part that contains detailed information on above sections. Goal of my thesis is to propose the most effective solution for specific organization. In this paper I'll try to avoid all known usual problems and errors. I'd like to achieve this thanks to my long experience with wifi as I've for several years run a wireless network with more than 600 users.
Design and construction of modern data Wi-Fi networks for ISPs
MATLAS, Jiří
The topic of Wi-Fi networks (Wireless Fidelity) is widely discussed currently as there is a big boom of this technology. The Wi-Fi refers to a method of modern technology that enables wireless transmission of data between devices such as printers and mobile phones. The main objectives of the thesis are focused on the development proposal to build a modern data network for an ISP (Internet Service Provider) in the technical area. Another aim was to process and analyze the results of the newly formed economic entity and their subsequent evaluation in recent years, i.e for the years 2008 - 2011. Business plan was designed in Branišov, which is a village near Czech Budejovice in 2001. Initially, it was the agreement of two local residents who believed that the offer of an Internet connection is not ideal for this location and started to develop some "small" wireless network. At the beginning, any professional equipment was not used in this network. When connected with an increasing number of customers (about five inhabitants of Branišov), professional antennas and access points began to be used. The above mentioned five customers manage to cover all operating costs created by the network. In subsequent years, i.e. 2004 ? 2007, there was a boom of the project. The number of connected users was growing constantly, even though not conducted any marketing or promotional activities. By the end of 2006, individual users began to demand greater guarantee of a stable connection. At the same time, it also proved to be absolutely necessary to establish a specific person responsible for the network. This person was supposed to maintain the network, develop it and manage it. In 2007, the initial non-commercial network was transformed into a commercial network model and brand new commercial entity ? a limited liability company ? was created. Currently, there is a continual development of this network, which already covers a total of 30 villages around České Budějovice and Vodňany and the signal spread through 115 broadcasting Access Points.
Design of nrmetwork infrastructure, ICT and application platfo for a small company.
Hurych, Tomáš ; Palovský, Radomír (advisor) ; Pinkas, Otakar (referee)
This bachelor work deals with the design of a network infrastructure for a small company. Designing a network infrastructure consists of a link between two workplaces using a wireless connection and a realization of active and passive elements on both places of work. The thesis further looks into a design and realization of an application server in the MS Windows Server environment and a data storage running on a Linux kernel. That was achieved by the analysis of possible solutions of customer requirements, selection and putting the best of them into practice. The main contribution of this work is the design of a secure, functional and an affordable solution for a small company. The work is divided into three logical aggregates. At first it analyzes the current situation of the company and the specification of its requirements. It also discusses theoretical solutions for given requirements and last but not least it includes a suggestion for their solution.
Problem of security wifi nets
PŘITASIL, Miroslav
This diploma thesis describes the secure wireless data transfer mediated by various technologies. A special attention is given to standards 802.11x, different kinds of technologies protection originating of the standards and to possible attacts targeted against them. Moreover, it deals with the problems related to password and sensitive data protection which are important to the network administration. The thesis gives also some examples of particular network type securing.
Broadband Internet access in the Czech Republic and in selected EU country
Hejcman, Marek ; Toman, Prokop (advisor) ; Exnarová, Anna (referee)
This work focuses on the phenomenon of modern society on behalf of the Internet and its technological background. Especially towards the end users. The introduction describes the brief history of the Internet. Since the first small networks to expansion throughout the world. The second part is devoted to various technologies through which users can connect to the Internet. Pivotal part of the thesis analyzes the state of the market in the Czech and Slovak Republic and stresses the importance of carefully selecting an Internet connection. Conclusion then summarizes and evaluates the previous chapters and tries to outline the future market for high-speed Internet.
Wireless technology Wi-Fi
Chudomelka, Jan ; Pokorný, Pavel (advisor) ; Balík, Jindřich (referee)
This thesis describes a wireless technology Wi-Fi, its history, development and present state, different types of networks, security from the physical point of view and influence of the used frequency on the human organism. Furthermore, the possibility of using this technology commercially and noncommercially, EDUROAM academic network, including its access points in the world and the finding of some hotspots in the Czech Republic.
