Kinesiological analysis of tachi-waza technique in judo
Zavadil, Jan ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Smolík, Petr (referee)
Title: Kinesiological analysis of tachi-waza technique in judo Objectives: The aim of this work is to measure activity of selected back muscles and oblique abdominal muscle using surface EMG. At the same time, determine the load with comparison with the maximum free contraction for musculus erector spinae with selected judo techniques tai otoshi, o goshi and uchi mata. Then perform intra- individual comparisons between different techniques and comparisons between measured probands. Methods: To determine the muscle chain in a motion cycle in techniques tai otoshi, o goshi and uchi mata by surface EMG method and kinetic analysis. Six probands with several years of experience in judo were selected to measure. The measurements were four muscles on both sides: musculus trapezius, musculus erector spinae, musculus latissimus dorsi a musculus obliquus externus abdominis. Results: There was some similarity for intra-individual comparison. Three probands between the technique tai otoshi and o goshi, two between tai otoshi and uchi mata. Can be assumed, that techniques tai otoshi is basic technique with which the probants began in their youth. In the inter-individual comparison, the results showed, that the technique is very individual. Most muscles involved 80% of the average motion cycle. Most often at the...

Title: Frequency and success of selected techniques in elite judo competitions Objectives: The main aim of this study is evaluated judo techniques uchi-mata, tai- otoshi and o-goshi. The study shows, which techniques is the most common and which is the most successfully in elite judo competitions. These variables were studied in all weight categories both men and women and the time of fight were studied as well. Methods: In study was used observation method in four elite judo competitions. I observed frequency of selected techniques and their scoring. These data was converted on percentage use and percentage of success for all selected techniques. Data was analysis by ANOVA. Results: I found that uchi-mata is very often techniques. In the middle part of fight the competitors the most often attacks and the most often scores. The differences between weight categories was detected, however, I did not recognize distinct trend. I did found significant differences between men and women nor in frequency neither in success of selected techniques. Keywords: judo, uchi-mata, o-goshi, tai-otoshi, elite competitions

Šaroch, Marcel ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Smolík, Petr (referee)
Title: Reasons why children in pubescence (age 14 - 18) terminate their sport activity at judo competitions Objective: Goal of my dissertation work is to find out possible reasons why children terminate their sport activity at judo competitions in pubescence. Methods: A survey sent to 42 judo trainers and 21 children helped to find out the reasons why children terminate their sport activity at competitions at the age 14 - 18. Results: We have found out that the main reasons are feeling of anxiety before the match, lack of time and demanding studies at high school and university out of the hometown. Keywords: reasons for termination of the sport activity at competitions, trainer, judo, motivation
Determinants affecting an injury and prevention against the injury within a training planning in selected judo categories
Šaroch, Martin ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Smolík, Petr (referee)
Title: Determinants affecting an injury and prevention against the injury within a training planning in selected judo categories Goal: The main goal of diploma thesis is to find the most frequently injuries in judo at juniors and older juniors from 13 to 20 years using comparison and analysis of poll results. Find the causes of their origin and create a set of measures to prevent injuries to training and competition. Method: Survey, qualitative research, and professional literature analysis of general sport preparation with the focus on young juniors to old juniors. It is empirical research based on questionnaire surveys method. Results: Result showed that the most frequently injuries of both gender are fingers of limbs. The most frequently injury for mens gender is shoulder joint and back and for women It is ankle joint and wrist. Most requently injury for both gender are dislocation and muscle strain. Injuries come during the match in stand position. The main cause of the injury is a self- mistake. Key words: Judo, injuries, causes, measures
Lower limb muscle activity during squat and judo technique seoi nage
Holý, Jakub ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Bačáková, Radka (referee)
Title: Lower limb muscle activity during squat and technique seoi nage in judo Objectives: Goals of my work is finding activity lower muscle limb using surface electromyography in shallow squat, deep squat and seoi nage technic in judo. From the obtained results will be compared muscle activity in relative to MVC and compared timing activity of measuring muscles between deep squat and technic seoi nage right. Methods: Research component consisted of 10 subjects, 5 of fitness and 5 are active judokas. With using surface electromyography and kinematic analysis we monitored activity of measured muscles in shallow and deep squat, and seoi nage technic. The size of muscle activity was assessed in relation to MVC. Results: Evaluation of the results showed a higher involvement by m. gluteus maximus in deep squat than shallow squat. Deep squat makes higher muscles activity. Performing of seoi nage technique resulted in higher values by m. quadriceps femoris. Sequence involvement of muscles during deep squat and seoi nage techniques in selected subjects showed we a strong similarity with various techniques. Key words: Lower limb muscle, judo, electromyography, squat, seoi nage
Analysis of sports form of elite judo athletes
Turek, Jindřich ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Smolík, Petr (referee)
Title: Analysis of sports form of elite judo athletes Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is testing purposely selected group of elite judo athletes using a battery of tests, which is intended for seinor men's category and find out whether the of performance tests on results of the world competitions. The next aim is describe a judo training of elite judo athletes. Methods: The thesis has an empirical and theoretical-character, which have been used in date collection methods, examining available information from judo training, analysis of professional literature in the field of general sports training and also the experience of many years of competitive practise of the author. The statistical evaluation was used T-test for paired values dependent selection and Spearmen correlation coefficient. Results: The results of this thesis point out that probands who show a high performance in testing are not more successful at world competitons than probands with lower performance in testing. High performance in testing has no effect on success in world competition. Resulting different values of most selected of probands with distinguished from each test in the range of 0.1 - 0.2 diameter marks. Keywords: judo, training, sports form, testing, judo athletes
Dependence of somatotype and fitness condition in martial arts
Stibůrek, Michal ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Smolík, Petr (referee)
Title: Dependence of somatotype and fitness condition in martial arts. Thesis aim: Main aim of this thesis is to find out mutual dependence among tracked variables - placed in ranking list and UNIFITTEST (6-60). Methods: For theoretical part of thesis the author used method of analysis and synthesis of specialized literary sources. In practical part the main method used was regression analysis. Method according to Heath-Carter was used to assessment somatotype. Towards evaluation of kinetic performance and efficiency was used UNIFITTEST (6-60). Results: Results from research show us that during the research of mutual dependencies it hasn't proved any link between tracked variables and place in ranking list UNIFITTEST (6-60). Considering measured values judo athletes are in category endomorphic mesomorphic and karate athletes are in category well-balanced mesomorphic. Keywords: somatotype, martial arts, karate, judo, UNIFITTEST (6-60)
