Silent Book - Use of Art Therapy with Primary School Children (especially for children who have communication problems )

The bachelor's thesis aims to use a therapeutical potential of fairy tales (fairy tale stories) by using the silent book for children in elementary school (especially children with communication disorders). The work has theoretical and practical content. The theoretical part maps the role of fairy tales in relation to children and childhood in general. It also mentions the gradual development of children's drawing with a greater focus on younger school age. I also mention an art crisis during children art development, due to the start of school attendance in the first grade of elementary school. The work describes a specific school environment. The practical part contains description of whole process of working with children, my goals I set up at the beginning and it´s realization. Also there is a clarification of the methods I used, as well as practical experience and case studies of two children. The text is supplemented by a pictorial appendix.
The use of Arttherapy in coordinated rehabilitation

This master's thesis deals with the issue of coordinated rehabilitation and the issue of art therapy as its component. Coordinated rehabilitation is an interrelated process of therapeutic, pedagogical, occupational and social rehabilitation, whose main goal is to minimize the consequences that arise from an individual's disability. Art therapy is a therapeutic and cultivation process using psychological and artistic means to impress the client. Successful rehabilitation is based on early, smooth and coordinated efforts to involve persons with disabilities in everyday activities of life as quickly and as widely as possible. This activation can also be achieved by involving art therapy. The theoretical part consists of two basic chapters. The first chapter deals with the concept of coordinated rehabilitation and its theoretical level. The following subchapters deal with the history of coordinated rehabilitation, international classification of functional abilities, disability and health, as well as topics such as disability, disability classification, multidisciplinary up to health team, as well as social and occupational rehabilitation. The second chapter describes art therapy and its theoretical definition. Afterwards, art therapy will be described in terms of components of coordinated rehabilitation and its concept or legal definition. The aim of this thesis is to find out how can art therapy in the system of coordinated rehabilitation contribute to successful rehabilitation of the client. For the empirical part a qualitative research method was chosen. This type of research was chosen due to the limited number of respondents and in order to gain new knowledge in the above mentioned disciplines. The obtained results can be used to create a feedback tool in the research facility, which can then be used to improve the quality of care provided. This thesis can be further used as a source of information for future clients and their families.
Specific of Art Therapy with Pre-school Children

This bachelor thesis is focused on art therapy with preschool children. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains specifics of preschool children with a focus on the cognitive and emotional development and especially the development of artistic representation. It also describes the specifics of art therapy work with preschool children. The practical part shows possible way of art therapy with preschool children based on methods of Rožnov art therapy. A group of ten children made paintings on topics suitable for preschool age. In the second half of the practical part, there are two case studies, on which we can find connections between the topics, so we can dive into a deeper interpretation thanks to that.
The experience of the art therapist with the creation of clients with mental illness

This thesis aims to present adolescence, fundamental changes, and troubles typical for this age such as a crisis as self-destruction and suicide attempted. This work is to set out various possibilities of support, treatment, therapy, and diagnostics of these complicated situations. Art Therapy is shown as support tools for adolescents. Two case studies of two clients are represented in the practical part and their Art Therapeutic professional experience.
The use of fairy rale themes with a focus on sibling relationship with elementary school pupils from socially disadvantaged families

The bachelor's thesis deals with the use of fairy tale themes with a focus on the sibling relationships of five children aged 10-11 years from socially disadvantaged families. The main focus of interest is to compare children's statements about their relationship to siblings and their reflection in their pictures, specifically in pictures of fairy tales with sibling themes. The theoretical part contains the description of the theoretical basis, which forms the basis for the practical part. The practical part is focused on the interpretation of pictures of selected children and finding connections with their statements.
Topic of Little red riding hood processed by children of school age

The bachelor thesis deals with the artistic rendering of the fairy tale About Little Red Riding Hood. The work is divided into two parts. The introduction to the theoretical part of the work presents art therapy as a science that works in a specific way with artistic expression, especially in relation to knowledge of fine arts and developmental psychology. For this purpose, fairy-tale themes are also used. A separate chapter is devoted to the fairy tale About Little Red Riding Hood, as well as the characteristics of the period of adolescence. The content of the practical part is mixed research. The result of the quantitative survey is the division of artifacts into categories according to the predominant motive. The result of the qualitative part of the work are case studies, which include the application of interpretive procedures in the context of interviews conducted with the authors of artifacts and their art teacher.
The use of art therapy in the care of patients with neurotic problems

The bachelor's thesis is aimed at the issue of neurotic complaints that patients hospitalized at the department of psychotherapy have to deal with. The objective of the thesis is to point out the possibilities of application of project-intervention art therapy methods and procedures in working with the patient, for which interpretation of artefacts created by him/her is used and to explore the possibilities of using biblical and fairy tale themes in this context. The text is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The first part deals with the definitions of some essential terms, such as art therapy, neurosis, identity, fairy tales and theories based on depth psychology. The second part is implemented through the method of a qualitative research in a personal case study. We are searching for connections between patient's complaints, his/her artistic representation and interpretation of the resulting artefacts. Attention is further paid to changes in artistic expression of the patient.
The Use of Roznov Art Therapy in Career Counseling

The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of two disciplines contributing to the development of human self-knowledge and increasing the quality of his life; art therapy and career counseling. The first part deals with the theoretical definition of these disciplines, describes their starting points and specifics of the Rožnov approach in art therapy and the sociodynamic concept of career counseling. On the other level, they follow their identical and different features. The aim of the thesis is to find the source topics and the way of their interpretation so that the art therapy effect is enriching for the process of career counseling with individual clients.
Siblings in a Group of Preschool Children and Their Artistic Expression.

The bachelor thesis deals with the options of art therapy approaches in the kindergarten environment. It focuses on the artwork of sibling pairs. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical part, it addresses the characteristics of child and childhood, and child development in physical, mental and social terms. It deals with the influence family and family environment, siblings and sibling constellations on the child's development. It also touches on the importance and content components of preschool education and exposure to peer group. It describes basic features of children's artistic expression and the theoretical possibilities of the overlap of art therapy to art in kindergarten. In the second, practical part of the thesis, case reports of four sibling pairs and an analysis of their artwork are presented, in the context of the circumstances and period of its origin. The research has been carried out in a kindergarten environment. The aim was to find out how the artistic expression of siblings reflects the experience of the family environment, how the siblings interact with each other and whether this fact appears in their artistic expression. We found out how the joint presence of these siblings affects their activity in the group and pointed out the possibility of opening the way to solving their adaptation problems and individual themes through artwork.
Art therapy with children with multiple disabilities

This bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of art therapy for children with multiple disabilities. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains four main chapters. The first chapter defines the term art therapy. The second chapter describes the individual stages of artistic expression in children. The third chapter focuses on art therapy with children. The fourth chapter defines multiple disabilities. The practical part is research into the possibilities of art-therapeutic work for children with multiple disabilities. It briefly describes group work with children with multiple disabilities and applies a qualitative method of data collection using two case studies. Based on long term observation, it reflects on changes in the artistic expression of children with disabilities in connection with art-therapeutic effects.
