Possibilities of land reclamation of areas afected by mining and waste disposal in suburban territory
KOSOVÁ, Markéta
The subject is "Possibilities o fland reclamation of areas afected by mining and waste disposal in suburban territory". The area is Odkaliště Hodějovice. This plant lies in three municipal territories {--} České Budějovice, Staré Hodějovice a Srubec. The decanting plant is used to stock of ash materiál from Teplárna Inc. České Budějovice and steam plant Nové Vráto. The area of this territory is c. 52,6 ha. In the decanting plant will proceed a biological reclamation. The purpose of this reclamation is {\clqq}return to nature``.
Recultivation of settling pit Olešník - MAPE Mydlovary
AMBROŽOVÁ, Markéta
The objective of the dissertation is to examine the method and the present state of the recultivation of the settling pit Olešník, to evaluate the process of the natural succession on this locality, to compare this state with the surrounding countryside and to examine the possible integrating of the settling pit to the countryside.
Components of the environmental monitoring and its evaluation on the locality of MAPE Mydlovary.
NEJEDLÝ, Miroslav
On the locality of MAPE Mydlovary, where was fuctioning chemical concentrator of uranium ore, were made sludge beds. The sludge beds are significant landscape component, that dramatically take effects on the environment. That is why is important to pursue the monitoring to get the datas for detecting the influences of sludge beds on the environment. The aim of this dissertation is to evaluate the components of the environmental monitoring and state the results of recultivation on the locality of MAPE Mydlovary.
Vliv odkaliště K1 - Dolní Rožínka na kvalitu vody
Šikula, Martin
The subject of this bachelor thesis is evaluation of the influence of sludge lagoon K1 - Dolní Rožínka on various parts of the environment. The thesis summarizes scientific literature focused on legislation, uranium extraction and water environment. In bachelor thesis is characterized the area of interest, bodies of water in the Rožná 1 area and water treatment technologies. The thesis also describes various stages in the remediation and restoration of the sludge lagoon K1 contributing to close down of the entire sludge lagoon. In the practical part are processed data from the river Nedvědička and chemical treatment. The main objective is to analyse the influence of the discharged treated water from chem-ical treatment on the water quality in the river Nedvědička. Another objective is the assessment of the impact of uranium extraction on the air quality and landscape character with a proposal of possible changes to improve the condition.
Diversity of traits of aculeatan hymonopterans in habitats with finely-grained substrate
Wofková, Gabriela ; Tropek, Robert (advisor) ; Šlancarová, Jana (referee)
Natural habitats of aculeate hymenopterans are rapidly decreasing and strictly specialized species are thus going to be endangered or extinct. However, in the last decades the conservation potential of postindustrial sites has been found. There were many endangered and nationally extinct species recorded along with the drift sand specialists. However, one unclear thing remains - on postindustrial sites there were still no recordings of species that have similar biological traits to the species that are colonizing these sites. The main target of my thesis was to find traits which make it possible for the insects to colonize postindustrial sites. A matrix of 79 traits was made to describe aculeate hymenopterans biotope preferences, phenology, morphology, biogeographical area, nest, food and life history strategies. With these traits I describe 351 species systematically collected on twenty-one localities with finely - grained substrate found in Polabi and South Bohemia. These traits were tested with weighted mean abundances on type of substrate (artificial vs. sandy) with GEE analysis and the type of locality (dumping ground of coal combustion, ore and sand sludge vs. sandpits vs. natural sand) with PCoA analysis. A phylogenetic correction was incorporated in both analyzes. My results show that on...
Settling tanks and tailing ponds in topographical databases and digital cartography
Nováková, Martina ; Šára, Pavel (advisor) ; Novotná, Kateřina (referee)
SETTLING TANKS AND TAILING PONDS IN TOPOGRAPHICAL DATABASES AND DIGITAL CARTOGRAPHY Abstract The aim of bachelor thesis is to evaluate the way of classification of tailing ponds and settling tanks in topographical database ZABAGED (Czech Fundamental Base of Geographic Data). The first part introduces both phenomena themself, their division and characteristics. Next part is dedicated to detailed review of the literature regarding classification of examined features in czech and also foreign digital topographical databases. An example of representation of features in each database is included. In the practical part, thanks to obtained information, the differences of objects are explained. Furthermore, more appropriate classification of tailing ponds and settling tanks in ZABAGED database is suggested. Keywords: tailing pond, settling tank, digital topographic database, ZABAGED.
Combustion by-products of the power station of Prunéřov and options of their utilization for nature-conservation purposes
Volfová, Michaela ; Hendrychová, Markéta (advisor) ; Petr, Petr (referee)
The experiment took place in the ash deposit of power plant in the north-west Bohemia, where wasps and bees were investigated. Data were collected on localities of different management and age in May to August, 2015 by pan color traps, when 106 traps were collected (70 traps on succession areas and 36 traps on reclaimed areas). In total, 603 individuals (88 species) were determined. Thirty two species stated in the Red list, 14 species are vulnerable, six species are endangered and 2 species are critical endangered. Succession areas were strictly preferred by 39 species (90 individuals) and reclaimed areas by 12 species (18 individuals).
Industrial deposits: Are they habitats of threatened or invasive species?
Vojtíšek, Pavel ; Tonika, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kovář, Pavel (advisor)
There was made many deposits of industrial slags on our landscape during second half of 20th century. Many of deposits were abandoned without recultivation because of missing or inadequate legislation. Often very extreme habitat enables scientific research. Deposits and their surface are developing and stabilizing because of primary succession. This study works with two types of deposits: ash-slag and ore-washery sedimentation basins. During succession many plant species are introduced onto basin plateau. Ecosystem contains many unoccupied habitats and for invasive plant species it's easy to introduce into these free habitats. Contrariwise the ecosystem should pose a refuge point for ecological important plant species. In this study are worked data about total vegetational cover of vascular plants on 21 sedimentation basis (12 ash-slag and 9 ore-washery). From the data package were sorted out plants demonstrably invasive, potentially invasive and endangered plants. An occurrence of the species was compared with the type and age of sedimentation basin. Key words: Sedimentation basin, invasive plant, potentially invasive plant, endangered plant, life strategy, management
