Abstract Sleep disorders occur frequently during child development. Cause of these disorders are physical but more frequently psychogenic. In diploma work we addressed the nurse role dealing with sleep necessity for child in-patients.. In the theoretical part we dealt with sleep characteristic, sleep disorders and child needs which can be detected not only with child in-patients in hospital ward. Furthermore we engaged in sleep fysiology and other factors which can influence the sleep quality. In the quest for that I did use the semi-structured conversation conducted in hospital child ward in Tábor hospital a.s .and České Budějovice hospital a.s. The conversation contained 15 questions which were answered individually by nurses. Data collection took place in April, 2012. The total number of questioned nurses was 16. In the connection with the theme 2/two objectives and 2 research questions were set. To achieve the objective it was necessary to find what is important to secure child in-patient sleep and find if nurses provide conditions for child in-patient quality sleep. The research questions were raised: ? What principles are considered by nurses to be important to secure the child in-patient sleep mode? ? and secondly ? How the nurses secure the conditions for quality sleep of the child in-patient? ?. As for the theoretical field concerns the nurses do not have the basic knowledge of the sleep fysiology (REM, non REM). As it comes out from response of the nurses, each nurse has an individual opinion of the factors which ensure the child in-patient quality sleep. The conditions for quality sleep are secured by nurses in creating quiet environment, cool room and where necessary also their presence with falling asleep children. The diploma work results are individual On the basis of these findigs, I consider to be necessary, the educative material to be worked out and acquaint the child nurses with its content.

The problems of nursing care in children with stomia of small and large intestines
BARTYZALOVÁ, Martina
The bachelor thesis is aimed at the problematics of the children patiens with stomia. Stomia is the taking out of the small or large intestine out of the body. The most often indications with insomia is to remove the large intestine, inborn development defect and the necrotising enterocolitidis (NEC). The most often reasons for the by-passing with the colostomy are also the development defects and the Hirschsprung desease. Children with the stomia are few in the Czech Republic. They are mainly newly-borns or suckling infants, with whom stomia is tempoval. Children with this desease are usually taken care of by the parents in the home invironment. The parents are dependant on the assistance of a stomia nurse, which educates them and informs about everything connected with the illness. The goal of the bathelor thesis is to map the needs of the children with stomia of the small and large intestine and specify the needs of the nursing care. The work was also aimed at the task of the stomia nurses caring for the children with stomia. A qualitative research with the method of questioning was applied together with the discussion method with the parents of the sick children and the stomia nurses, who have already had experience with caring for the children with the stomia disease. All in all ten parents have been contacted, six of which have participated in the interview. Fourteen stomia nurses have been contacted, but due to little experience with treating the stomia children just three of them have been interviewed. The respondents came from various parts of the Czech Republic. As for the specifics of the nursing care we were interested in three aspects of the nursing care. The first sphere was skin care, where it was found out that the parents of the children with ileostomy should pay special care to the skin in the place around stomia. It is caused by the fact that ileostomy takes out watery and agressive substance, which causes skin damage in the place of stomia. Another important fact was that the patents use common children cosmetics, which is considered to be absolutely unsuitable for the children with stomia. It is also important to mention that due to a wide choise of stomia amendments the nursing care is on a much higher level than before. As for catering it was found out that newly-borns and suckling infants should be breast feaded and with the ileostomics the stool should be was thickened by adding rice puding without milk. The third sphere was evacuation. Childer with stomia evacuate in a specific way with the help of bags and systems. It was found out that the most suitable system for children with stomia was the simple one. The other goal was to map the needs of stomia children. From the research it was found out that stomia has a negative effect on the quality of life of both the children and their parents. Stomia affects the life socially but mainly mentally. As for the mental aspects it was found out that the services of psychiatrists are not used. It is also supported by the fact that just one parent out of six uses consultations with the stomia nurse regularly, who should be their main support. It was also found out that every child cried while stomia was treated. From the social side it was found out that children with stomia can be isolated from other children at kindergartens and schools. Stomia also restricts children when doing sport and other activities. As for the fysiological needs, they have already been mentioned in the specifics of the nursing care. The last goal was to find out what role in treating children stomia the stomia nurse plays. It was found out that the education of the stomia nurse is very important for the parents of the children with stomia but their opinions do not coincide. Some nurses say that they educate the parents before and after the operation, but we have found out that it was not true. Very few parents were educated before and after the operation.

LEITGEBOVÁ, Zdeňka
The bachelor´s thesis at hand focuses on psychosocial consequences of insufficient or defektive childcare, which involves disproportionately harsch physical punishments, sexual abuse and/or lack of sufficient expressions of love and acceptance. Children affected by these adverse events face major problems in their later lives and their behaviour, attitudes and lifestyle in further life stages, especially in adolecence, may be harmful to society. The objective of the thesis was to recognize the effects of maltreatment, abuse and neglect in childhood in the girls living in the Educational Institution in Jindřichův Hradec. The second objective was to identify what subjective needs we can see in girls suffering from CAN syndrome who were put in the Educational Institution in Jindřichův Hradec. The quelitative survey carried out in connection with the topic in question used the theory anchored in deasing. The method employed in collecting data involved interrorgations using the technique of semi-structured interview. Qualitative content analysis was selected as the method for data processing. The research target group comprised of 10 girls who had been subject to maltreatment, abuse and neglect in their childhoods and who have been assigned to live in the Educational Institution in Jindřichův Hradec. The outcome of the survey schows that the selected girls who were subject to abuse in their childhoods suffer from depressions, apprehensions, anxieties, and embarrassment. Commonly , they schow low self-esteem and no trust in themselves and people around. Other frequent consequences of CAN (child abuse and neglect) syndrome, which the girls mentioned in the guided interviews, include experiments with addictive substances, aggression, and self-aggression. Current needs that the girls quoted most frequently included: need for family, partner, freedom, but also continuous attention of another person. The survey suggests that the girls have an unsatisfied need for harmony, understanding and love. The results of the survey may be used while completing individual plans of care for the girls assigned to the Educational Institute in Jindřichův Hradec. The thesis might serve as an inspiration for those who work with developmentally traumatized children and youth for special educators and other specialists working in other institutions around the Czech Republic.
