Bulbs covered all floor and their intensity of light create and change space around. Spectator has an opportunity to enter to the quickly changing field of instalation, which can confused him.
Aspects of Light in Church Architecture
Šťasta, Jiří
Light is an element that is symbolically present in any religion for its life-giving and revealing function. The paper focuses on the use of light in the Christian milieu and in both historical and contemporary Christian architecture. Different approaches to light characterise each period and its social and cultural aspects. Building materials develop, their properties improve over time, but light is an eternal architectural element – a necessary condition.
Analysis of chip forming mechanism with a high-speed digital camera
Kubela, Petr ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
In live we often involve monitoring of very fast actions, that are not observable by the human eye. The thesis focuses on possibilities of high speed digital cameras, their application in industry, and the mechanism of chip formation. The experiment part aims to record the chosen process of chip machining and the problems of necessary illumination during the process of object imaging.
Study of luminicsence properties of organic semicondustors
Koňák, Petr ; Horák, Michal (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This document describes using organic semiconductors to the electroluminescence on thin layers. In introduction of this file there is analysis a the problem of organic semiconductors and it's using in today's world. Next, I want to describe work with the given samples, their chemical composition and also include results from the measuration of electroluminescence.
Lighting systems in off-grid applications
Lengyel, Ladislav ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
Aim of the master's thesis is at first to explain appropriate light sources and lighting systems; secondly present suitable light sources selection for lighting a small space and design of an off-grid system. The last part consists of an overview about alternative energy transformations to light energy. The first of these three major themes focuses on the analysis of light sources suitable for use in applications with accumulation together with data on energy efficiency and the utilization efficiency associated with them, concentrating on their consumption and possible energy saving lighting within small applications. It ends with a description and calculations of electricity energy indicators for different types of rooms. The second and main part of the thesis is focusing on suitable light sources selection for off-grid systems and impacts on humans and the environment associated with it. An object representing a small application has been created in RELUX® software with suitable light sources installed in it. For this scene, appropriate parts of off-grid systems were selected, which could be used to power the proposed lighting. The last theme consists of a brief about alternative sources, most of which are still in development or existing only at a theoretical level. All of these alternative sources are having a possible application in the future.
Design of optoelectronic sensor for biological tissues
Balík, Zdeněk ; Bartlová, Milada (referee) ; Tománek, Pavel (advisor)
Biological tissues are optically inhomogeneous and absorbent materials. They are comprised of various structures such as cells, cell organelles, and various fiber structures. Due to these structures leads to different interactions with the light and phenomena such as absorption, scattering and polarization of light. Different ultrasonic, electromagnetic, electrical and optical methods are used for meat ageing detection. Muscles are turbid anisotropic media, they exhibit changes in electrical and optical properties according to the direction of the electrical and optical fields in the sample. The diploma work assesses the feasibility of impedance measurements for meat ageing detection and their comparison with optical measurement of scattered polarized light. Two different sample were used: pork chop slices and chicken breasts were used for their relative homogeneity. The electrical method is a promising method due to the possibility of getting much information and realizing cheap and fast enough measurement systems. The proposed optical method allows measure the rotation of polarization plane with meat ageing in the range of 95 degrees within considered period. Through the first promising results obtained in this thesis, a further work has to be provided to determine closer relationship between optical scattering characteristics, electrical anisotropy in ageing-related tissue structural properties.
Fiber optic source of laser radiation
Fučík, Milan ; Hudcová, Lucie (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with parameters and properties of electromagnetic wave, its spread in environment and then in optical fiber, as well with optical fibers. Principle of laser sources and a issues of coupling a optical performance into optical fiber are described here. Next a function of laser diodes, power and cooling requirements are described. A block diagram of fiber optic source of laser radiation is designed as well as a circuit solution of every single block with respecting of parameters and sensitivity of used laser diode. The protection of laser diode and high-frequency modulation of optical power are solved. Subsequently the construction of every single block was done and the right function of constructional solution was tested.
Scanning photoelasticimetry
Šikula, Radek ; Palai-Dany, Tomáš (referee) ; Škarvada, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the polarization of the light and its use in the field of photoelasticity measurement. The theoretical part is divided into two sections. First the light is described as electromagnetic waves in the theoretical section. Further the polarization types are described and the principle of the photoelasticity is explained. Electronic is described in the second section of the theoretical part. In the frame of the experimental part electronic design is presented together with the program for the scanning device controller. The functionality of the device is tested in the last section.
Numerical modeling of special LED ligth source
Nepor, František ; Fiala, Pavel (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
This work presents information about numeric simulation of special light sources based on LED. In first, theoretical problems of light simulation are analyzed, next the LED source is designed and finally experimental measurement is done to confirm the results. The target is to aim maximal homogeneity due appropriate layout of LEDs. Content of this work is divided into several parts. In first part the measurement units used in light sources description are explained to understand next parts of the document. Second part describes some of the methods used for simulation of the light sources. Next chapter explains procedure for selection of the method and deals with simulation of light source design in MATLAB. Last part of this work is focused on experimental verification of designed light source, when measured data are compared with the simulated results.
