Agritourism as a contribution to employment in rural areas

This diploma thesis deals with the study of the impact of agro-tourism on employment in rural areas. At first deals with the description of tourism, its basic species and forms. However, the greatest attention is paid to agrotourism, its history, development, negatives and positives, its significance and possible types. The following chapters are aimed at defining rural areas, describing subsidies that help to develop rural areas and also describing the diversification and multifunctionality of agriculture. At the end of the theoretical part of the thesis is characterized the issue of employment, unemployment, its causes and impacts. It also provides information on the multiplying effect and the impact of tourism and agro-tourism on employment. The analytical part of the thesis is focused on the contribution of agro-tourism to employment in rural areas. The data needed for this analysis was obtained by means of a questionnaire survey conducted in the South Bohemian Region in agro-tourism farms and in the municipality where the farms belong. The result is that agro-tourism farmers provide other people with jobs on their farms, and thus partly contribute to the employment of the municipality. However, the greatest impact on the number of jobs offered by farms has a season. Agrotourism farms and their activities contribute to the overall development of rural areas, to a greater or lesser extent. And at a certain level they are also involved in the employment of rural municipalities.

Přínos lokálních produktů pro venkovský cestovní ruch v regionu Haná

The object of this bachelor work is to analyze the spread and importance of local products of Haná tourist region. This thesis evaluates tourist infromation centers's approach to propagate local products, touristically attractive locations and local product producers. This work includes definition of basic aspects in the sphere of local product problematic in rural tourism, such as rural tourism, territorial marketing, regional branding and the local products. Main areas of interest are defined from the perspective of rural tourism potential and mentions the link between local product and rural tourism.

Agroturismus nebo jiné formy venkovského turismu? Analýza podpory cestovního ruchu na venkově prostřednictvím PRV

The thesis deals with the evaluation of tourism development, especially rural tourism, through the Rural Development Programme for selected areas of four regions South Moravia, Zlín, Olomouc and Vysočina. The theoretical part includes a literature research, a discussion of relevant concepts based on study of reference literature, the importance of tourism and rural tourism and their possibilities in terms of rural development. Moreover, the thesis focuses on the past and current tourism promotion through grant programs, with emphasis on Rural Development Programme belonged to the common agricultural policy. The following part presents a discussed territory in the context of importance and its rural tourism expansion of potential areas. The next chapter is devoted to description and analysis of general support of the Rural Development Programme, with emphasis on the promo-tion of the Czech Republic (measures III. 1. 3.). The crucial seventh chapter analy-ses in detail the projects supported by the relevant axis priority and classifies them in compliance with the character and other selected indicators. The aim of the work is also answers to questions about how agrotourism has been signifi-cantly supported and if the aid is concentrated in attractive tourist areas. The final chapter is devoted to evaluation of the projects analysed in the period 2007-2013 and predictable changes which might occur due to the transformation of tourism support from the structural funds and CAP.

The content of the bachelor thesis is to find out potentiality and barriers of tourist trade in the countryside of microregion Frýdlantsko Beskydy. In a recherche there is made a theory about tourism, its benefits, risk and expected progress. The thesis is focused on a characteristic of the area. In practical part, there are hypotheses expressed about possibilities and barriers of the tourism in the area, after there is a questionnaire developed, which proves or disproves the hypotheses. Based on the outcomes of questionnaire there are formulated possible ability and barriers of tourism in the region.

This bachelor thesis deals with the description of the microregion of Austerlitz battlefield. It's main topic pursues the options of tourism and agribusiness development within this area. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first one is devoted to the terms related with this thesis issues. The second part defines the microregion of Austerlitz battlefield and it's potentional related to the historical event. The bachelor thesis tries to find potentional for connecting cognitive tourism and agribusiness within microregion of Austerlitz battlefield. The observing location has a potential but the way for it's fullfilling will be difficult.

Návrh pro zvýšení rekreační atraktivity Moravskobudějovického mikroregionu

The aim of this thesis is the evaluation of recreational potential of micro-region Moravskobudějovicko. Main goal is to make the drafts, which should improve the tourism in chosen micro-region. Both for locals and tourists. The thesis contains the research in publications related to recreation, tourism, free time and the possibilities of developing the rural tourism. The main part of the thesis is characteristics of micro-region and the evaluation of present recreational attractiveness in each municipality. The proposals to increase the recreational use are made from structured interviews with the representatives of chosen municipalities and also from field survey. In the end are summarized results and made suggestions for developing micro-region as an attractive recreational area.

Agroturistika a možnosti jejího dalšího rozvoje v mikroregionu Lednicko-valtického areálu

Bachelor thesis is focused on the description and analysis of the current situation about agritourism in the Lednice-Valtice area. The thesis describes this area as a destination in the tourism and discusses conditions for its future development. In the practical part the methodological approaches were used for the characteristics of the Voluntary association of the Lednice-Valtice area municipalities. The analysis of selected agritourism companies located in this area was made on the basis of interviews with their staff. The final results of the analysis were utilized to propose solutions and to recommend steps towards further development of the micro-region.

Birdwatching tourism in the Czech Republic

The topic of the bachelor thesis was chosen because birdwatching tourism is well-known activity in other countries whereas in the Czech Republic it is a niche market which could be filled out by using right tools. The aim of the thesis is to find out if there is a potential of this activity in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part of the thesis is explained tourism in general, its typology and detailed focus on rural tourism, wildlife tourism and then birdwatching tourism. The practical part consists of two chapters. In the first one are presented results of the survey which was conducted between Czech and foreign respondents. The second one focuses on a designed package holiday which is complemented by its calculation and itinerary.

Potenciál Jindřichohradecka a jeho využití pro agroturistiku ve vybraných podnicích.

This dissertation follows up a mapping of agricultural enterprises which keep rural tourism in the district Jindřichův Hradec. Based on data obtained from the Ministry of Agriculture (www.eagri.cz) own investigations and other sources has been compiled the list of farms carrying on rural tourism. In this thesis has also been made SWOT analysis for the development of agro-tourism in the district Jindrichuv Hradec, and four selected farms. Enterprises were chosen so that each firm focused on another form of agrotourism. The analysis of these companies derive proposals and measures to improve and increase traffic. The work also includes a questionnaire that could provide a pilot study. The customers of four selected farms answered the questions about agrotourismus.

Analysis of the tourism potential in the Telč region

The main objective of the master thesis was to compare municipalities within the Telč region from the perspective of rural tourism. The comparison was based on historical, sociodemographic and geographic description and analysis of their potential for tourism, including analysis of opinions of selected subjects towards tourism and its development. In the theoretical part, basic concepts of tourism or rural tourism were characterized, based on the review of pertinent professional literature. In the next section, the Telč region was characterized in terms of particular tourism-related factors, i.e. localization, selective and implementation factors. The characteristic consisted in comparing the objective data of the municipalities studied. Evaluation of tourism potential of the Telč region was based on evaluation of the factors and on the survey that addressed representatives of the municipalities with the aim to acquire their opinions on tourism and all components of tourism infrastructure.
