Thick-film sensors for electrochemical detection of species in aqueous solutions
Martynek, Daniel ; Adámek, Martin (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the theory, principles and characteristics of electrochemical sensors, thick-film technology and electrodes used in electrochemistry. Methods for the detection of substances matters in solutions are discussed here. Main emphasis is given to differential pulse voltammetry and the influence of the method setup parameters to the measurement results. Experimentally, the work deals with the modification of thick-film working electrode with carbon nanotubes and subsequent activation of the electrode by nitric acid to increase the detection limit and the current response to selected heavy metals ions. Finally, the obtained results are compared with special commercial paste and discussed with the data state in literature.
Capacitive sensor in low temperature co-fired Ceramic
Symerský, Tomáš ; Řezníček, Michal (referee) ; Kosina, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with theoretical knowledge of basic materials especially of a low-temperature ceramics, which enables creating multi-layer structures. Different defects occur by forming these structures, especially in the area of cavernas and micro-tubules. This thesis uses different methods which lead to an elimination of these defects. The thesis also deals with techniques which can be used to a realization of these sensors. Achieved knowledge helped to draft and realize the capacity sensor of flow and pressure in a low-temperature ceramics. The pressure sensor was tested by the load in the frequency spectrum, while the flow sensor was tested for different substances.
Properties of Thick Film Multilayer Components
Shishkin, Alexey ; Švecová, Olga (referee) ; Szendiuch, Ivan (advisor)
Purpose of our experiment to receive mathematical model for RC-RP elemets with different structure. As a objektive factor of mathematical model we will decide temperature coefficient of component's time constant. As a influence factors we'll choose production behaviour. To realize experimint for it. Number of factor's is three. After experiment to draw a conclusion about influence of poduction's error .
Optimization of electrochemical sensor for detection in microvolume
Gajdoš, Libor ; Pekárek, Jan (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis describes optimization and modification of standard thick-film electrochemical sensor to be able to be used for detection in microvolumes. In the theoretical part, the thick film technology is described. The work is then focused on the wettability of surfaces followed by introduction to electrochemistry and electro-analytical methods. In the experimental part, screen-printing of various types of thick film pastes on ceramic substrates for determination of their wettability and the following modification of the sensors with thick-film paste and with Parylene vaporization can be found, as well as the basic electrochemical measurements in microvolume using the modified sensor. Finally the results are summarized in conclusion.
Non conventional applications of HIC´s
Klíma, Martin ; Jankovský, Jaroslav (referee) ; Szendiuch, Ivan (advisor)
This thesis deals with non-conventional applications in the area of thick film technology, especially with indication of the temperature by thermodynamic sensors. The work summarizes thermodynamic sensors theory and also contains production data of the universal thermodynamic sensor realized on ceramic substrate, including measurement of its parameters and heat radiation.
Design and Realization of Structures with Embeded Components
Němec, Tomáš ; Pulec, Jiří (referee) ; Szendiuch, Ivan (advisor)
The master thesis deals with multilayer structures and thick film technology. The main goal of this work is measure basic electric features of structures realized with thick film technology. The results will make possible more accurate design of these structures.
Creation of electrochemical sensors for DNA analysis
Šílený, Jan ; Adam, Vojtěch (referee) ; Hubálek, Jaromír (advisor)
The objective of this work was creation of an electrochemical sensor for DNA analysis using thick layer technology. Development of sensors is described from the design face with particular steps of realization along with theory. Measurements with results and evaluation of possible application in common use are described.
Optimization of thick-film electrochemical sensor's electrode system
Cupal, Miroslav ; Adámek, Martin (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with thick/film sensor’s electrodes optimization. The aim of this work is to determine how the geometric size and shape of the electrodes affect the output current response. Technology and electro-analytical method is described in the theoretical part. The practical part is aimed at thick-films electrodes and sensors optimalization. It is here each optimization TLV electrodes in terms of their impact on the size of the output current response three-electrode electrochemical system using standard electrodes. Similarly, there is a study of the effect size performed on one common electrode free-electrodes sensor. Finally, there are studied various forms of electrode area three-electrode thick-film sensor in terms of their effect on the output current response. Summarized results are described in the final part of the work.
