Design of test environment for automatic testing of eletronic control unit

This master’s thesis deals with the design and implementation of part of test environment for automatic testing of electronic control unit in the production. The electronic control unit is manufactured by UNIS, a.s. and is used as a control and power electronics for the hydraulic unit. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the development and automatic testing of electronics in the field of aerospace engineering. The practical part describes the proposed automatic test environment and implementation of testing software using hardware and software products by National Instruments. The main platforms used for software development are LabVIEW and TestStand. Created test environment is finally verified by testing several control units.

Tool for Monkey testing

This bachelor thesis focuses on explaining the term Monkey testing and its usage in a field of software development. The first chapter presents principal ideas about testing and we get familiar with testing in general. In the next part we familiarize with particular types of testing and with the role of testing during software development. Following part of this thesis introduces test automation its advantages and risks. Next chapter is about monkey testing which may be considered as a subgroup of automated testing. After sufficient theoretical introduction into field of monkey testing we demonstrate its capabilities on concrete application. To do it we use chosen software tools. Next chapter explains meaning of obtained results and possibilities of its processing.
