Sexual assistance as an object of media spectacularization
Rokosová, Anna ; Hasmanová Marhánková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Balon, Jan (referee)
In my diploma thesis I deal with the issue of media spectacularization in the context of the provision of sexual assistance services. My thesis includes a critical discursive analysis of selected online posts with this topic in selected Czech media. These media are Novinky.cz, iDnes.cz, Aktuálně.cz and Blesk.cz. Since this service first has started to be provided in the Czech Republic in the autumn of 2015, I take advantage of the more active debate on this topic in later years. The aim of my thesis is to highlight the spectacularization of the topic of sexual assistance in selected media, to identify the legitimizing means and to define the discursive levels that appear in the media space. Subsequently, I focus on the actors who speak on the topic of sexual assistance in the media, whether actively or not. An important theme of my thesis is normativity as a social construct (disability studies, social roles) and the stigma associated with it. Afterwards, I used selected media to analyse the transformation of the topic through its spectacularisation and point out the disciplining of the topic through its frame. In my thesis, I draw attention to the social image that the media transforms the sexual assistance service into, how the detabulation of the topic is reflected here, how ideas about gender...

The positive effect of sex on our health
VYDROVÁ, Anna
The aim of this study is to shed light on important concepts that are often neglected or underestimated in today's society, to map the area of sexual behaviour, to find out how can sex positively influence our body and mind, what habits our society has, what history tells us about sex. The extensive topic of sexuality is slightly controversial, it is all the more interesting that relatively little attention is paid to it on a social and professional level although it is an integral part of us. The literature of the history of sexual activity is full of "skeletons in the closet" and reveals countless surprises, complexes, injustices and unhealed wounds. This work compares this information with reality and current sources. Another part is devoted to the constantly and currently much-discussed topic of battle men versus women. We will also reveal differences that are unrecognizable at first glance. By describing the body, behaviour and social status, we find out that they have undergone a really long development. However, the intention is not to promote one sex above the other, nor to set imaginary boundaries between them. On the contrary, the work aims at concluding a peace agreement and expressing the equal importance of both men and women on the principle of mutual respect. Finally, in the practical part compiled in the form of a questionnaire, I specified the actions, thinking and awareness of young people about human sexuality and its relationship to health. The benefit is current information from the lives of students and their peers. As I dare say that sex education is unfortunately very neglected and underestimated at the moment, any new useful information for readers would be my relief and immense personal success.

HORVÁTH, Roman

It examines the representation of sexuality and gender identity in comics. The stereotyping of the depiction of female heroines is also analysed and focuses on the representation of masculinity, femininity and queer signs. At the same time, it seeks to analyse gender stereotypes in the construction of female heroines using the psychoanalytic concept of male gaze. The development of these topics is also interspersed with socio-cultural context. The work can be split into two parts, of which the first theoretical part contains chapters focusing on the theory of comics from the comic book theorist Scott McCloud. The next part is already devoted to the analysis of comics, which by its nature is rather a compilation of partial texts. The analytical texts focus on Captain America, Black Widow, X-Men and Mutants in the overall context and a group of Young Avengers heroes, which explore themes such as the interconnectedness of propaganda and embodiment, feminism and emancipation of female heroines, queer themes as a metaphor for mutantism and stereotypical representation of gay heroes.
