Front-end of the web application for the scientific journal Studia Kinanthropologica

My thesis discuss creating a client interface of a scientific journal Studia Kinanthropologica web application. On the second part of the web (back-end) worked my colleague and I was in touch with him all the time, to regularly merge these two parts until the final content management system for uploading and managing the journal. I take into account the requirements of the department of sports studies, which publishes this journal. I surely use the newest technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and the other. There also is a complete adaptation to all sizes of displays and monitors. I am also focusing on optimization, usability and maximizing visual performance of the application in order to effectively display services and content. The web contains two language versions (Czech, English), forms and also the administration section. This content management system should facilitate and improve the work of the authors of the articles and the reviewers of the journal.

The theoretical part introduces the basic concepts of Web technologies, describes the historical development of technology (X) HTML in the context of the closest associated technologies, and introduces new opportunities for using HTML5 and CSS3 technology.The practical part describes the design, functionality and technical solutions of the specific examples that demonstrate the selected benefits of HTML5 and CSS3 technologies in the area of educational Web applications development.

Tato práce se zabývá vytvořením aplikace pro výuku jazyků specificky pro mobilní operační systém Firefox OS. Vzhledem k své povaze, uživatelské rozhraní aplikace se snaží uspokojit ergonomické potřeby aplikací určených pro kapesní zařízení. Aplikuje několik konceptů gamifikace ke zlepšení procesu učení, jehož výsledky jsou prezentovány a vyhodnoceny. Aplikace také přináší své vlastní jedinečné vlastnosti, které jí pomáhají vyniknout mezi ostatními aplikacemi pro výuku jazyků.

Web standards and responsive webdesign

The Bachelor's thesis Web standards and responsive webdesign deals with methods and procedures that are suitable for developing responsive website. The thesis also includes familiarization with the origins and history of webdesign and related technologies that it draws upon. The thesis is devided into theoretical and practical subsection. Theoretical part deals with the history of the web, the development of HTML to its latest version of HTML5 and its semantics, Cascading Style Sheets and its innovations, history of web browsers and particularly techniques suitable for creating responsive web. The practical part is focused on creating a responsive website using methods and procedures derived from the theoretical subsection.
Template for CMS Wordpress.

Goal of my thesis is to design and create a new template for CMS WordPress for online journal or a blog with use of HTML5 and CSS3. The resulting template will be responsive. In the first part I will focus on describing WordPress and its history in general. In the next, second, chapter, I will examine the architecture and technologies used by the system. Third chapter will deal with structure of plugin and theme systems. In the fourth and final chapter I will examine the process of creating template in a greater detail. In the partical demonstration I will show creating a new template from scratch, going over basic conceptions, wireframes, coding and final implementation on a live website.
HTML Document Transformation to Scalable Vector Graphics

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of rendering HTML/CSS documents using the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) language. The goal of this thesis is to design and implement an extension for the CSSBox library, which will be able to generate a vector output. First, we provide a description of the SVG language and some Java libraries that can be used for creating SVG documents. After that, there is description of the CSSBox library. Then, we perform an analysys of selected CSS3 features. The main part of this thesis is the design of a solution for rendering various CSS3 attributes such as rounded corners, gradients or transformations using SVG. After the design, there is a description of the implementation and evaluation of the achieved results using various tests. The conclusion offers some possibilities of extending this thesis.
Creation of web applications by Dart language

The aim of this thesis is to describe new object-oriented programming DART language which is created by company Google. This open-source platform is determined for creation of web applications in mark language HTML5. DART includes its own development setting, libraries, browser which can start DART and also translator to JavaScript language and it tries to remove its inadequacies and maybe even replace it in the future. Theoretical part will be aimed to DART itself. The syntax, functions and other possibilities, which come together with DART and also the problems which have not been solved yet will be described. DART will be compared with similar JavaScript and its advantages and disadvantages will be find. In the practical part a set of web applications programmed by DART will be created. The applications will be placed by web page on the internet. The created applications will be described and the code will be explain.
Multi-platform development of geolocation application

This thesis deals with development possibilities of multi-platform geolocation applications using modern web technologies. The introduction is offered a summary of available mobile platforms development opportunities for them. Follows the description of web technologies suitable for application development. Another chapter is devoted with methods of geolocation and their possibilities and limitations. After is described the implementation a specific application of selected technologies. The outcome of this thesis is fully working multiplatform application developed in order to help students to easy navigation between important places of faculty.

The result of this thesis is example web application build on HTML5 and CSS3 which demonstrate their potentiality. This application is web browser of pictures from flickr.com with choise of edit and saves, offline mode and effect improve rich user experience.
