Excercises for Data Acquisition for BEMS course
Novotný, Marek ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Čejka, Miloslav (advisor)
The content of this thesis is to understand a field of data acquisition. There is explained what it is data acquisition and also there are described frequently used terms and principles, which belong to this theme. We have to understand how to get useful information from a specific physical effect or event; how can be this information processed or represented. A part of this thesis describes hardware side of this mechanism – the most used buses and measuring systems, cards and modules belonging to it. There are also described used developing and measuring programmes, their features and system of output of applications besides. In the thesis we can see which tasks can use data acquisition, which problems can appear and we have to know about them. As an example of the whole data acquisition there are showed two tasks which are worked out in system of LabVIEW. Both tasks work with real mechanisms so they get real data and we can work with them further.
Signal Processing Using Sound Card with ASIO System
Polanský, Štěpán ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Rumánek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work is introduction of professional system ASIO which serves signal processing. It contains list of functions and applications. It clears up important theory of signal processing by personal comuputer and considerable conceptions. Work is engaged in possibilities of real time signal processing. Work contains procedure of realization the application interface for sound processing via language c++, basic methods for programing with ASIO driver and analyse of sound effects.
Simple text-independent voice lock - speaker verification software system
Kotulek, Milan ; Dolenský,, Jan (referee) ; Staněk, Miroslav (advisor)
A brief introduction into biometrics is described in this thesis leading to description and to design a solution of verification system using speech analysis. The designed system provides firstly basic signal processing, then vowel recognition in fluent Czech speech. For each found vowel, observed speech features are calculated. The created GUI application was tested on created speaker database and its efficiency is approximately 54 % for short testing utterances, and approx. 88 % for long testing utterances respectively.
Statistical Processing of Speech Features
Svozil, Martin ; Dolenský,, Jan (referee) ; Staněk, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the speech signal processing and vowel analysis mainly to uncover differences in speech features depending on the emotional state of speaker. Created application ARePa for speech signal processing was developer in Matlab environment and contains Graphical User Interface (GUI) for better manipulation with ARePa and analysed records. The application includes a complete analysis of the speech signal and further comparison of current feature with feature values from database using histograms. Of course, the developer application allows the archivation of currently analysed records into database.
Statistic Characteristic Function and its Usage for Digital Signal Processing
Mžourek, Zdeněk ; Mekyska, Jiří (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
Aim of this thesis is provide basic information about characteristic function used in statistic and compare its properties with the Fourier transform used in engineering applications. First part of this thesis is theoretical, there are discussed basic concepts, their properties and mutual relations. The second part is devoted to some possible applications, for example normality testing of data or utilization of the characteristic function in independent component analysis. The first chapter describes the introduction to probability theory for the unification of terminology and mentioned concepts will be used to demonstrate the interesting properties of characteristic function. The second chapter describes the Fourier transform, definition of characteristic function and their comparison. The second part of this text is devoted to applications the empirical characteristic function is analyzed as an estimate of the characteristic function of examined data. As an example of application is describe a simple test of normality. The last part deals with more advanced applications of characteristic function for methods such as independent component analysis.
Thermal image processing using the superresolution technique
Petrásek, Daniel ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Mekyska, Jiří (advisor)
Thesis deals with problematic of raising digital image spacial resolution, mainly thermal image. There are mentioned methods of interpolation, panorama and super-resolution. Main topic of this thesis is super-resolution which is detailly described during the thesis. Finally there is a description of algorithm implementation and problems that may occur during the implemetation.
EEG Analysis During Anaesthesia
Hodulíková, Tereza ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Sadovský, Petr (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the method of functional examination of brain electric activity. In the first part is description of central nervous system, method of electroencephalography and possible connections. Furthermor the project involves characteristic of EEG signal and its artifacts. It also includes signal processing and list of symptoms, which will be used for an analysis of the EEG during anesthesia. The second part of thesis involves development of application, which allow viewing and proccesing of EEG signal. In conclusion of thesis is carried out unequal segmentation and statistical processing.
Physical layer model of LTE system
Kounek, Milan ; Wieser, Vladimír (referee) ; Hanus, Stanislav (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with the signal processing in LTE system, specifically focuses on the physical layer. The first part describes in detail the signal processing at the physical layer of the LTE system. Based on the acquired knowledge of signal processing is created a block diagram that graphically describes the process of the signal processing. Next part deals with the created mathematical model, which is programmed in Matlab. This section describes the limitations of the model, configuration options and view simulation results. The last part shows the results of simulations and analyzed the results.
Ultrasonic anemometer
Dvořáček, Michael ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
Work describe principles and problems of the realization ultrasonic anemometer. It's described methods of computation speed wind and its correction. In favor of realization are used ultrasonic transducers and microcontroller ARM Cortex-M3. The work treats PWM signal generating, its analog filtration, amplification and transmitting. On receiving part there are low voltage amplifier and comparator. Developing code is described by flowcharts.
Real-Time Wavelet Transform in Pure Data
Zemánek, Karel ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelors thesis considers of wavelet transform realization in the real-time in Pure Data. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical minimum of wavelet transform. The second part is devoted to program Pure Data itself. You can see simply patches and also instruction for external programs compact to PD. The third part is devoted to realization of wavelet transtorm in Pure Data program. It contain specific algorithm for wavelet transform calculation and description of exist program.
