Horáková, Lucie ; Schönfeld, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Smrčka, Luboš (referee)
The global economic crisis, which we associate with the beginning of the U.S. housing bubble, greatly influenced the behavior of most economical subjects, including the family-household, which is the object of interest of the author. This paper seeks through comparison of macroeconomic indicators from the years before and after the crisis, to find, describe and explain these changes. Another goal is to prove the truth or falsity of selected economic theories dealing with economic behavior. Most relevant sources of statistics are made up of state institutions, notably the Czech National Bank and the Czech Statistical Office. Characteristic feature of this work is that it does not only consider economic aspects of the problem, but trying to describe the differences in behavior from a psychological perspective.

The Development of Single-person Households after 1989 and Its Effects on Social Benefits
Zákostelecká, Eliška ; Vybíralová, Ivana (advisor) ; Krebs, Vojtěch (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of single households after 1989 and the effects it has on social expenses. Increasing number of single-person households reflects the growth in the level living and also some changes in opinions about the family. The loss of some significant functions of the family causes divergence from it. This trend is explicit among certain groups of young people called singles who postpone their reproductive age. The increase of single-person households is connected with some threats to the state and the whole society. These households are more threatened by poverty and, at least economically, more dependent on the state. The state tries to ensure them the same living conditions as the other families have. Many social benefits are modified in the interest of these households and they cause a positive discrimination therefore. In the light of social benefits, an individual is more costly than a person from a two person household. Besides, giving priority to living alone has a negative consequence to the future -- a denatality.

Čapková, Kateřina ; Řezanková, Hana (advisor) ; Löster, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview regarding survey of income and living conditions of households in the Czech Republic and propose a feasible approach to the exploitation of the collected data. The diploma thesis describes the framework of the EU-SILC survey and presents its practical implementation in the Czech Republic. A technique utilizing contingency table analysis is proposed for studying asymmetric relationships between selected housing characteristics and amenities in the dwelling with respect to different household types. The analysis is based on the relative frequencies of housing characteristics observed for particular types of households. The frequencies stem from the sample survey of income and living conditions of households carried out in the Czech Republic under the official title of Living Conditions 2008. Asymmetric measures of association for nominal and ordinal variables were used for the description of the relationships as the examined housing characteristics and household types have the character of alternative, nominal or ordinal variables. The analyses show significant relationship of the selected housing characteristics and the amenities in the dwelling on the monitored types of households.

The survey proved that boys are affected by injuries more often than girls. .The injury occurs the most during sports, at home and at school. With assessing the injury, according to the type of injury, I found out, that most of the injuries fall into the group of fractures, contusions and joint luxation. According to the results of the study was found that as education of parents is not reflected in the injury. Most injuries were confirmed by parents with higher vocational education, the least injuries of parents with primary education. School injuries were confirmed at more local school when compared with schools in the city. The results of this work could be the basis for a project or program in preventing injuries. Furthermore, this work is based on feedback to primary schools, thus preventing the most common injuries, which were statistically evaluated.
