Financial analysis of companies operating multiplex cinemas

Financial analysis gives a comprehensive picture of company's financial situation. This thesis is focused on financial analysis of a specific company, which operates multiplex cinemas. Subsequently, this work compares obtained results with the largest competitors in the Czech republic. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first one methodically describes the indicators of financial analysis. In the second one these indicators are applied to CineStar Company Ltd., the largest company engaged in our cinema business. In the third part, this company is compared with its major competitors.

The financial analysis of the firm

The aim of the bachelor thesis is an evaluation of a financial situation within a chosen company between 2004 and 2008, which is based on the use of the financial analysis method. The theoretical part describes the principle and importance of the financial analysis, introduces its purpose and aim within the firm management. It defines the users, the data sources and basic methods of financial analysis including the overall models of evaluation of the firm health. The practical part shows the characteristics of the examined firm as well as the financial analysis itself which is carried out by the methods introduced in the theoretical part. The chosen indicators are also compared within branches. The conclusion of the thesis offers a summary of the most important findings of the implemented analysis.

The theme of this bachleor thesis is "Financial analysis of AC Sparta Praha football,Inc." This study is focused on corporate finance in a time series from 2007 to 2009. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theoretical explanation of terms related to financial analysis, such as techniques and methods of financial analysis. The second practical part analyze company in the time series, first from the perspective of the assets and liabilities then accounting statement of profit and loss and ultimately from the perspective of financial ratios.

The main subject of this project is an analysis of the firm HOCHTIEF CZ a. s. It was necessary to use many methods and procedures to find an interesting and relevant conclusion. The most important are: vertical and horizontal analysis, balance sheet method, index indicators, difference indicators, economic normals, pyramidal analysis, value index, bankruptcy models and comparison with branches. The first part of this project is an describe of this firm and there is an general essay about financial analysis in the second part of it. The third part of the text describes particular methods which are used in the fourth part.

This bachelor study is focusing on the financial analysis of the company STUDENT AGENCY Ltd during the period 2005 - 2008. This study is divided into two individual parts, the methodical and calculative part. In the methodical part there are defined theoretical bases for financial analysis, the sources and the methods, which are necessary for the financial analysis. In the calculative part there is introduced the company STUDENT AGENCY Ltd and then the methods of financial analysis are used. The results are closely analyzed in the text involved. In the end there is the evaluation of the whole financial situation of analyzed company.

The theoretical part focuses on data source, methods and selected indicators of financial analysis. In the practical part, the knowledge is applied to a specific chosen company. A short company presentation is followed by analysis of the basic parts by using the financial statements for the period 2007 -- 2009. The conclusion summarizes the results and recommends measures to improve the situation in the future.
