OPTIMIZE STORAGE SYSTEM IN SELECTED COMPANY

The aim of this work is to analyze individual malt technologies according to their use for beverages storing in Elko limited warehouse, then suggesting optimal alternative in terms of time and cost demands of establishing and running the warehouse. The main factor when choosing optimum in-store technology and service means is the fact, that Elko company stores a high turnover ratio material, which is necessary to complete for almost every order. For this reason, the warehouse either has to have a room sufficiently big for completing orders, or an option of completing the orders right in the store core. Sub-objectives were to prepare the legislative framework of the work, to assess the processes in the enterprise, assess and propose improvements to the stock.

Storage inside the Logistics System in Company Foxconn CZ

The aim of the Diploma work is to design the storage system inside the logistics system of the company Foxconn CZ. To achieve this goal it is necessary to theoretically define the main terms concerning integrated logistics chain, describe the function and localization of warehouses, describe the most often used warehouse equipment, handling equipment and logistics technologies. Closer acquaintance with company Foxconn CZ allowed us to understand its strategy. Based on collected and analyzed inputs concerning production and warehouses in newly built building the appropriate ways of storing reflecting the specific requirements of individual storage locations was designed. Based on evaluation of aspects of the proposed options the most appropriate way of storing was recommended.

Goal of this thesis is to define logistic problems of small to middle sized construction company and suggest solutions. In this thesis logistics is considered as integrated system which is managing and keeping records of movement and position of construction machines, automobiles and also employees. Thesis is abstract of activities, that has been done by logistics section of Reinter from 2007 to 2011 and it is presenting steps done by management of firm in order to improve the performance of section. These steps are explained, commented and evaluated.

Warehouse management in selected company

The aim of thesis is to analyze warehouse management in selected company to find posibilities of optimalization. Selected company is Viscofan CZ s.r.o. in which is analyzed warehouse of colagen material called 4001. Based on consultation with employees of company is found problem that is solved in this thesis. It is method of material transport from warehouse to production building. The biggest problem of current way of transport is lenght of transport path because warehouse nad production are in saparate buildings and production machines are in aboveground floors. The best varinat from proposed posibilities is to build an elevator between both buildings. This leads to reduce transport route of material.

The Distribution chain analysis

This graduation thesis focuses on a distribution chain analysis and the description of materials and information flows in a ZC s. r. o. based in Jindřichův Hradec. ZC s. r. o. is a wholesaler of products and materials for gardeners and horticulturists. As a result of my analysis of the company´s distribution of its goods I have suggested two potential ways in which to optimize it. The first suggestion involves improvements to order despatch through the use of a mobile machine with a bar-code reader. The second suggestion involves resolving issues of reclamation.

Main topic of this bachelor work is a description of Supply Chain management with special focus at tools and processes enabling certain improvements. First, I have analysed the logistic processes, actors and different management tools teoretically in the first part of my work, followed by a practical part. In the practicall part I have chosen and analysed supply chain processes an an example of Opavia Biscuits and its logistic service provider, FM Logistic, represented in Czech Republic by a local branch, FM Česká.

Logistics in the automotive industry

Thesis consist of two parts. The first part investigates theoretical aspects of logistics focused mainly on logistic chains in the automotive industry. The second, practical part, analysis Pre-series Logistics at Skoda Auto a.s., especially its specific warehouse number 29. Based on the method of "snapshot" process analysis, a new concept leading to an optimization of processes in the warehouse, was proposed. In addition, an implemantation of a new information "paper-free system" of the warehouse was suggested.

Rationalisation of warehouse processes

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse actual processes in the warehouse of Electrolux and to recommend changes which should contribute to increase in efficiency of these warehouse processes. The concept of logistics and integrated supply chains is defined in the theoretical part. Moreover, this part outlines the task of logistics in the company and the role of warehousing. The analytical part focuses on warehouse area and on warehouse processes in the warehouse of Electrolux. The crucial topic of this part is the evaluation of possible alternatives of warehouse processes rationalisation.
