Solar heat for residential heat supply
Siuda, Radim ; Škvařil, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is usage of solar energy for water heating. The first part is dedicated to a summary of current theoretical knowledge of passive and active solar energy. The second part deals with the design of solar system for family house. This will be implemented by bivalent system to provide the necessary amount of hot water throughout the year. At the very end of this work, economic evaluation is done.
Conceptual design of a specific industrial process
Beneš, Daniel ; Babička Fialová, Dominika (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the conceptual design of the specific industrial process for the thermal destruction of residual ozone using the Pinch Technology method. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the issue of production, use and destruction of ozone is summarized. The theoretical foundations of the Pinch Technology method for conceptual process design are also introduced. The practical part of the thesis deals with the conceptual design of a specific process for the thermal destruction of residual ozone, based on specified industrial data, with a technical-economically optimal heat exchange size, including a subsequent decision on a suitable heat exchanger for this process.
Heat recovery from waste water
Paulíková, Kateřina ; Sitek, Tomáš (referee) ; Toman, Filip (advisor)
The aim of the Bachelor’s Thesis is to discuss the view of wastewater as a source of thermal energy. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter aims to acquaint with the issue of wastewater. The analysis of systems for heat recovery from wastewater is summarized in the following chapter. Also there is a focus on systems installed directly at the generation of wastewater, inserted into the sewerage pipes and finally the creation of thermal energy in wastewater treatment plants. All mentioned systems are built to be economical and ecological efficient as possible. Finally, the last chapter includes an overall evaluation of the systems.
Regeneration of heat and water from the exhaust air stream
Jankůj, Tomáš ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the process of wood drying. It is a method of removing excess water from wood. Drying can be divided into two basic types. The first type is natural drying. The material is dried without the presence of foreign energy source. This type depends only on climatic conditions and the amount of sunlight. Another type is artificial drying, where is pre-sent a foreign energy source, such as a biomass boiler. The second type is significantly faster than the first. The second type of drying uses a device called a wood dryer. There are a lot of types of wood dryers, the most widely used are kiln dryer, belt dryer, rotary drum dryer. In these devices, the thermal energy is transferred to the drying materials by the flowing warm drying medium (convection). The heat is transferred to the drying medium in a heat exchan-ger. Because the drying process is very energy demanding, it is appropriate to reduced the required energy. This can be done by regenerating heat and water. In the heat exchanger, part of the heat can be gained from the flowing exhaust medium. If a condensation of evaporated water in the exchanger occurs, the latent heat of the water is released. The gained heat is used to preheat the drying medium and thereby to reduce the required energy.
Source for heat production in the Czech Republic
Bártová, Jana ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with thermal recources in the Czech Republic. The first part of the work is about the division and description of heating plants used for the production of thermal and electric energy. The second part of the thesis describes the advantages and disadvantages of district heating and individual heating. The last part of my work contains statistical processing of heat sources located in the Czech Republic.
Study of thermal conditions and the appropriate materials for construction of the energy reservoir for long term storage in the conditions of climate CR
Bukvová, Veronika ; Šot, František (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
Presented work deals with appropriate ways of storing thermal energy and selection of materials for a high capacity storage unit. The thesis describes technologies currently used for long-term storage of thermal energy, the structural arrangement of the thermal unit, physical properties of the materials usable for construction of high-temperature storage units and the utilization of these materials. The thesis also describes the measuring procedure of the material characteristics and the method of evaluation. Size of the solar collector and the required volume of the storage for heat supplying of the selected building in the climatic conditions of the Czech Republic were designed.
Moderní technické prostředky využívané ve sklenících
Konoplin, Yana
The bachelor work titled Modern techniques used in greenhouses discusses modern technologies used in the Czech Republic and abroad in the construction of greenhouses. It also presents a description of modern technologies applied to the usage of solar energy in greenhouses and it evaluates these technologies from the point of view of their practicality. The work contains picture and tables with calculations. The second part of the bachelor work consists of a suggestion of a solar thermal energy system with long term heat storage and a hypothetical greenhouse. The possibility of storing thermal energy captured with solar collectors during the summer months for use during the cold season is evaluated with the help of calculations.
Evaluation of air pollution in dependence on operation of centralized heating systems
Čejková, Eliška ; Matějíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Hůnová, Iva (referee)
1 ABSTRACT This bachelor work deals with some environmental aspects of disintegration of traditional centralized heating systems in the Czech Republic. This situation is shown on a particular case of centralized heating supply in a housing estate in town Kroměříž. This centralized heating system has been quickly disintegrating and it is close to its dissolution due to disconnection of customers who has been building their own local household gas boiler plants. The bachelor work calculates the consumption of natural gas for both ways of heating. It is calculated by using the amount of heat energy required for heating of all buildings, including domestic hot water and the average efficiency of these production methods. This work also calculates the amount of emissions NOx (nitrogen oxides) expressed as NO2 (nitrogen dioxid) which are producted by each type of heating. The amount of NO2 is calculated by using emission factor which is obtained from authorized measuring system. One part of this work also deals with nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere. Another important part of the bachelor work is about a basic dispersion analysis (study) - dispersion model of pollutant (nitrogen oxides) around the source/sources. One chapter compares the environmental impacts of central and local way of heating from the viewpoint...

Analýza využívání tepla z provozu bioplynové stanice
Diviš, Martin
Diploma thesis is focused on quantifying the maximum possible amount of usable heat energy from BGP and describing risks limiting the supply of heat energy that can be used for supplies to a heat distribution grid. This thesis deals with the material and energy flows mainly on agricultural biogas plant in Hrotovice focusing on heat supply to the elementary school buildings, hotels, office buildings and other commercial facilities. The text is mainly concerned with the measurement and evaluation of the heat amount being produced, demanded, as well as, excessive heat or its lack in response to demand of two specific customer types. It focuses on identifying the most interesting customer from the producer's point of view and quantifying differences between two main end-customers of thermal energy.
