Web user interface for communicating with the wireless sensor nodes
Černocký, Petr ; Mráz, Ľubomír (referee) ; Červenka, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of this master's thesis is to design and create web application that allows analysing and monitoring wireless sensor networks. The main function is to load plan of given area and shown position of the sensor network nodes. These nodes allow user to set which measured phenomenon will be display on them. The measured values can be loaded directly from sensor nodes or from database server. Visualized values for user defined time period can be displayed in the implemented graph. The application itself is programmed in JavaFX language and follows the rules of REST architecture. For easier communication with database server application uses the MyBatis framework.
Design and implementation of custom mashup application
Fenyk, Tomáš ; Smutný, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Vadinský, Ondřej (referee)
Bachelor thesis is focused on a development process of web application that should help users to plan one-day bicycle trips on their own and also solves questions and problems that appeared during the development. Data used in this application are gathered from various providers (mainly providing geolocation services) which ranks this application to the category of mashup applications. Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part basic principles crucial for understanding to functions of mashup (API, REST, JSON format, AJAX and other) are described. The following practical part contains thematically focused chapters that describe the process of creating above mentioned application along with a selection of practical solutions, which provided appropriate support for the application.
Comparison of CouchDB and MarkLogic databases
Sapegina, Evgeniya ; Palovská, Helena (advisor) ; Chlapek, Dušan (referee)
This bachelor work deals with the NoSQL concepts and database management system CouchDB and MarkLogic in particular. The aim of this work is to bring the causes of NoSQL DBMS, describe their selected properties and to provide generally accepted classification of these DBMS based on their data model. Another aim is to describe the basic principles of DBMS CouchDB and MarkLogic, on selected use cases demonstrate some reasons of choosing these databases to some companies, and then compare these two DBMS and draw attention to some important aspects that may be crucial in decision making to deploy some of these DBMS. For the contribution of this work I consider compared popular and interesting because of its properties DBMS CouchDB and MarkLogic and thus created the basis for the selection of one of two DBMS into a specific project. The work is divided into four chapters. The theoretical part is introduced by the second and third chapters. The second chapter devotes to properties of NoSQL DBMS. The third chapter discusses the characteristics of DBMS CouchDB and MarkLogic. The practical part is introduced by the fourth chapter, where both these systems are compared according to various aspects.
Platform independent application interface based on REST architecture.
Herma, Tomáš ; Palovský, Radomír (advisor) ; David, Petr (referee)
This Diploma thesis deals with creation of web application, REST API, SDK for Android and iPhone platform and example application for these two platforms. The first part of work analyses the current application interfaces. The second part describes the selected technologies and implementation.
Reasons for NoSQL deployment, and especially MongoDB
Čermák, Miroslav ; Palovská, Helena (advisor) ; Tomášková, Barbora (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines reasons of NoSQL databases deployment and especially MongoDB database. It introduces these databases, describes its classification, specific properties, including its advantages. It continues with introduction of MongoDB and its case studies. Advantages of this database are shown on the custom model of e-commerce system. These reasons are then summarized in the individual chapter.
System to support the sale of sports data
Keřka, Marek ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Koudela, Vlastimil (referee)
The goal of diploma thesis is disquisition on existing file format intended for data transmission over computer network. Choose one of the compared file format and create a file structure for transmission sports data. Assess the structure of files from existing sports data suppliers and create their own structure. Compare the possible ways of distribution of created data files and give recommendations for services implementers.
Document-oriented open source database systems
Regner, Tomáš ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Tomášková, Barbora (referee)
One of the objectives of this bachelor thesis is to introduce readers with motives of developers for seeking alternatives to traditional relational database systems, which gradually resulted in emergence of NoSQL movement and also make them familiar with milestones and most important projects in its history. Then it introduces some basic characteristics common to NoSQL systems such as issues of scalability and distributed data processing and generally accepted categorization of NoSQL systems based on their data model. In more detail it focuses on field of document-oriented database systems, summarizes situation in this field and discusses its two currently most widely used representatives - systems MongoDB and CouchDB. It describes basic mechanisms of their operation and demonstrates meaning of their usage on examples. Then it defines evaluation criteria to compare these products and evaluate their fulfillment in currently available version of these systems.
CMS model in the browser
