European integration is a complex and long-lasting process, which gradually affects all areas of national policy. A very up-to-date problem is also an unsustainable pension scheme facing many member states and which is the reason why European Union starts to deal with it more and more. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to characterize the pension schemes in selected member countries (Sweden, Germany, United Kingdom) and then find the differences and similarities between them. Furthermore, the thesis analyzes the current state of coordination of national pension systems within the European Union and other possible development in this area. In the model, which assumes a single European pension system, the advantages and disadvantages of its implementation are pointed out through a SWOT analysis on the example of the Czech republic. Hokešová, Kateřina ; Hnát, Pavel (advisor) ; Jelínek, Tomáš (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the process of the so called eastern enlargement of the European Union which took place in two waves in years 2004 and 2007. It evaluates the starting-points which led to the enlargement from the both-sides point of view. Since the fall of communism, the central and eastern European countries wanted to return back to Europe and become a part of a democratic complex. On the other hand, the EU saw the enlargement mainly as an opportunity to unite the whole continent and gain back its decreasing economic potential. In the second part, the thesis focuses on the results of the enlargement for both sides. The enlargement has affected not only the economic but also the political situation in all the member countries and has also dramatically changed the decision-making process within the EU.

Poddaná, Barbora ; Veselý, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Krines, Vlastimil (referee)
In my thesis, I am trying to define the position of France in the international relations during the postwar period of 40's and 50's. The second world war was a destroying event for all Europe and also for France. The country who held its position of the hegemon and power in the world till now,is ruined and lost its influence. In this period, there are many influences to fight with. The rising power of the communism, the decolonisation and the cold war. The world is separated into two blocks. France is slowly becoming the part of the western block so that it can profit from the financial help of the US in the form od Marshall plan for recovery. France also losts its influence in its colonies because there are many problems inside the country to resolve. But also in this difficult time, France succeeded to find a way from it and it started the process of the european integration and became the leader country in Europe again.
