Cost calculation in truck transport

Master's Thesis is dealing with cost calculation in truck transport in view of smaller freight and spedition bussines firm which is operating on Czech territory. The main point is to break down cost calculation for all kinds of vehicles, which are owned by analysed firm, relative to the monitored period. Created cost calculation will serve to the employees by price setting for the transport services in future.

Transport services in Trhové Sviny region

This diploma work concentrates on carrying out an analysis of transport services in the region of Trhové Sviny. The aim of the work was to carry out an exhaustive evaluation of transport services in administrative district of municipality with extended competence Trhové Sviny on the basis of situational analysis, analysis of transport service and terrain investigation. The emphasis was put above all on the evaluation of transport services usable for tourism and conditions for cycling and hiking. On the basis of the results of the analysis of transport services and terrain investigation, it came to suggesting measures to make the region more attractive. In the work, two hypothesis were set the result of which is based on the made analyses. It resulted from the work that the most common way of transport in the region is road transport, especially by car and by bus. The region is sought for cycling and hiking as well. The main shortcoming of the region is seen in the level of roads which are even dangerous here and there. It could also come to improvement of the level of stops of regular bus service. Another suggestion is to increase connections transporting bicycles by one work day in the season. At the end of the work, a project concentrating on cycle nature trails was created. The project results from the knowledge gained from the foregoing analyses and investigation. This project takes into consideration natural, technical and historical attractions of the region.

Dále obsahuje statistiky nehodovosti na pozemních komunikacích a možná nápravná opatření vedoucí ke snižování dopravních nehod do budoucna společně s vývojem bezpečnostních systémů a technologií.

Roadsides function as halophyte habitats in the landscape

Vegetation lines along roads are localities of secondary habitation of salt-tolerant species. Along roads in the Czech Republic, at least sixteen wildly growing halophytes and many other salt-tolerant species were found. Roads are known for being corridors for not only migration of small animals, but also expansive, invasive and halophytic plants. Since many plants growing along roads are weeds, there is a real danger that these plants will invade nearby agricultural crops. Thus biological degradation of agricultural areas can be started, and consequently financial loss due to damaged harvest can be caused. This article discusses weed species and salt-tolerant species growing along roads of various types in the Czech Republic.

In next part it characterizes Pardubice region and describes chosen transport projects in Orlickoustecko region. It focuses especially on legislation, financing methods and complete description of each project.

This bachelor thesis is traditionally divided into theoretical and practical part. Its aim is to specific business characteristics of automotive transport with a focus on the transport of cars and the calculation of basic relevant operational indicators. The theoretical part contains the basic necessary definitions, the characteristics of the development of road transport and a summary of legislation related to road transport business. The practical part is focused on the actual company Walon CZ, Ltd.

Prague Ring Road

Prague ring road is one of the most important constructions of Prague and Central Bohemia. When completed, it will become one of routes with the heaviest traffic in the Czech Republic. In my thesis I deal with the past, present and future of Prague ring road. I have mentioned its individual parts as well as its links to urban circuit. The main focus is on the most problematic part of the circuit, namely the northwestern segment.
