The making of the strategic and conceptual documents on the level of Czech ministries (with the focus on the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defence)

Marie-Anna Bitnerová VERASP, FSV UK Abstract The diploma thesis deals with strategic planning at the level of ministries of the Czech Republic (with a focus on the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defence). It focuses on the creation of strategic and conceptual documents at the state level and thus describes the process through the lens of the theoretical framework of the Multiple streams framework. The research was carried out on the basis of in-depth interviews with nine employees of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defence (who actively or passively participated in the creation of the documents), two experts in strategic planning and one respondent from the Fire Rescue Service in Prague, who is responsible for the agenda. The thesis analyses and then explains the creation of the materials from the initial idea of creation to the final acceptance, implementation, and evaluation. It also focuses on the individual variables that enter the process - time pressure, conflict of interest, the influence of political elections, politicization, etc., and on the actors involved who play a crucial role in the process (officials and their superiors, elected politicians including the government, and experts). Polytechnické vzdělávání jako součást strategického plánování krajů ČR

This diploma thesis is aimed at polytechnic education, which is a part of strategic planning of the regions of the Czech Republic. The first part of thesis is devoted to the analysis of necessary literature. This part describes the concepts of polytechnic education, the STEM concept, strategic planning and what is a strategic plan. The polytechnic education is an integral part of strategic planning in the Czech Republic. The main goal of this work is to evaluate the current ways of supporting the development of polytechnic education. The practical part of this thesis includes the characterization of the area of interest, the anchoring of polytechnic education in strategic documents of the Czech Republic, access to support of polytechnic education and motivation for support. It also evaluates semi-structured interviews of education departments in the regions of the Czech Republic, which are central to fulfilling the goal of this thesis. In the final part of this thesis, recommendations are proposed for regional representatives of education departments that could lead to an improvement of the situation of polytechnic education in the Czech Republic.

Strategické finanční plánování a prognózování ekonomického vývoje podniků agrárního sektoru

ZINOVEVA, P. Strategic financial planning and forecasting of economic development of enterprises in the agrarian sector. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2023. The thesis focuses on the identification of key aspects for improving strategic planning and forecasting of financial development of enterprises in the agricultural sector. The literature search provides an overview of the current available knowledge on the topic. The methodological basis of the thesis was selected methods of scientific research; analytical, tabular, graphical outputs were used, as well as a summary of methods of economic and statistical analysis. The application part of the thesis focuses on the current situation of the enterprise in the agrarian sector in the selected Belgorod region by means of strategic analysis. According to the results of the study, in order to develop strategic planning and forecasting, strategic directions were proposed to increase the efficiency of the use of resource potential of the regional agro-industrial complex.

Vyhodnocení naplnění strategického plánu města Bučovice

This bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of the implementation of the strategic plan of the town of Bučovice. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate to what extent the city has fulfilled its objectives and whether the strategic plan was correctly constructed. The thesis analysed the individual objectives and measures set out in the plan and also analysed the city's economic performance. The results showed that the City of Bučovice has met almost all the objectives and has managed efficiently and conscientiously. The conclusion of the thesis points to a well-designed strategic plan and good management of the city. The bachelor thesis was beneficial for the author as he gained new knowledge and information about his hometown and the field of strategic planning of cities and municipalities in general.

This bachelor thesis focuses on development in the municipality of Blučina. It examines both its development and its current state. Based on data and semi-structured interviews, the work forms a comprehensive view of the current state of the municipality and also presents recommendations for the various partici-pants in the municipality. The data base of the socio-economic profile of the mu-nicipality consists of data about the municipality from the Český statistický úřad, information available on the municipality's website and other information availab-le from internet sources. These data and information are further supplemented by semi-structured interviews with participants in the municipality, including re-presentatives from the private and public sphere. On the base of the analysis of the collected data, the thesis assesses the current state of the municipality and makes recommendations to individual players in the municipality. The analysis shows that the village of Blučina has been developing in recent years and its cur-rent state is good. The municipality has a good coverage of basic but also above-standard services for the population, especially in the field of education and leisure activities for children. The municipality faces the problem of high traffic congestion due to the absence of a bypass. The direction of the municipality may be significantly affected by the archaeopark project, the planning of which is no longer within the municipality's competence. The recommendation to the munici-pal council is primarily aimed at trying to resolve the traffic situation in the muni-cipality and to establish cooperation with the archaeopark project.

Strategické plánování v Novém Městě na Moravě

The subject of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the quality of life in Nové Město na Moravě by means of a questionnaire survey with the residents in relation to the existing Strategic Plan of Nové Město na Moravě. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, recommended activities for a possible update of the document leading to an improvement of the quality in the town are determined. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on relevant literature concerning strategic planning, strategic plan and quality of life of citizens. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of the Strategic Plan of Nové Město na Moravě, evaluation of the questionnaire survey and subsequent determination of recommended activities related to the current strategic objectives, priorities and measures. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, it appears that the residents are mostly satisfied with the quality of life in Nové Město na Moravě, especially due to the influence of sports and cultural activities. However, they are particularly negatively affected by the following issues: lack of use of commercial services, lack of housing, lack of parking and lack of employment opportunities.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of strategic planning at the municipal level. The creation of strategic documents has become a key factor in the development of the territory in recent years. The main goal of the work was to find out how municipalities within the Brno metropolitan area approach this issue, whether they create strategic documents and what areas they primarily focus on. The theoretical part focuses on methodologies related to strategic planning within the Czech Republic as well as related research by Czech and foreign authors. The practical part presents knowledge ob-tained by analyzing strategic documents of selected municipalities and evaluating interviews with representatives of municipalities. In the last part, the obtained information is discussed with similar researches by other authors.

Development strategy of the sport club BK Klatovy

Title: Development strategy of the sports club BK Klatovy Objectives: The objective of this bachelor thesis is to propose a system of objectives in time sequence in terms of sports, economic and social areas for the small-town basketball club BK Klatovy, z.s. Methods: In this thesis the qualitative research method has been used. Primarily, documents provided by the club for the purpose of this research were analysed, the next step was to conduct semi-structured interviews with selected club members. Choosen analyses for this thesis are PEST analysis to map the macro-environment and internal resource analysis to map the internal functioning of the club. Results: The analyses carried out showed what the club should focus on. The biggest problem in the club is the lack of experienced coaches and overall poor communication and atmosphere. The club also has deficiencies in promotion and use of innovation in the technological direction. On the other hand, the ownership of the gym, which allows the club to run ancillary economic activities, and the proper use of subsidy programs are advantages. The club has been proposed steps, developed in a time sequence, which, if properly implemented, could help to improve the situation. The thesis focuses on the topic of developing the Llaquepta community in Peru through implementing Community Based Tourism. Given that the main interest of this paper is the socio-economic development of the community, while preserving its environmental and cultural values, this thesis verifies if this method is a suitable vehicle for develop-ment and what benefits it could bring to the community and under what conditions. The thesis also proposes and plans the process of Community Based Tourism imple-mentation and verifies the feasibility and sustainability of the project.
