Evaluation of the Financial Situation of the Selected Company and Proposals to its Improvement

This thesis deals with evaluating the financial situation of the company LIPOELASTIC a.s. through deployment of specific tools of financial analysis. The data necessary for financial analysis comes from financial statements of the company. Structure of the thesis is divided onto three parts. Theoretical part contains a set of crucial terms, methods and workflows which are important for designing the individual parts of financial analysis. These methods are practically applied in the practical part. Last part includes the proposals and measures for enhancing financial situation of the company.
Management of a NEVA Company Liquidity

The goal is to characterize financial management with a focus on liquidity management. The teoretical part proides definitions of basic concepts of solvency, liquidity and factors that affect liquidity. There are also dividend into indicators of financial analysis, the ratio and difference. The last chapter of this part deals with debt management, focusing on enforcement and faktoring. The practical part will present joint-stock company MEVA, its history a and scope of business. Liquidity management is performed using the indicators of liquidity, profitability, net working capital, cash flow and indicator of cash flow liquidity. The last chapter of practical part focuses on the structure of assets and liabilities of company.
New regulatory and supervisory rules in banking

The bachelor thesis aims to clarify the new rules of regulation in banking. It explains step by step the need of regulation and supervision by different arguments, which are undoubtedly important for the banking sector. In addition to regulation, it explains principles of supervision, so not only the importance of rules, but also their fulfilling. In the next part, it describes Basel II accord, focusing on internal methods of measuring of credit and operational risk. By De Larosiére report the paper explains the need of new regulatory rules. The main part of the work is the last one, where the new rules are explained. It contains the explanation of remuneration, capital adequacy, liquidity and leverage ratio. The possible impact on economy is mentioned at the end of the work.
Analysis of financial management of Czech industrial firms from 2002 to 2006.

The aim of this thesis is to execute a financial analysis of the Czech industry from 2002 to 2006. The fundamental categories of indicators were analysed - profitability, activity, cost, debt and liqudity ratios. The analysis wasnt executed only for the whole industry but for its branches divided by NACE classification. The outcome of my research is a statement that all fundamental categories of indicators developed positively. The most obvious positive development can be observed at return on assets which was caused by shortening of assets turnover and increasing of return on revenues. Furthermore, the improvement of debt and liquidity ratios of Czech industrial firms indicates that during the analysed time period the financial stability was increased.
