The final thesis aims to create an interior of a maisonette apartment, which is located in the former steam power station, later calibration facility. The building is located in the center of Žilina and is currently used only as a gallery. The thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with standards, history, design, psychology and colors. The practical part focuses on the building itself, its history and the current design. It also focuses on the design of the coffee table, its structure and materials. There are drawings included in the second part, that contains design process itself. The final draft is supported by 2D drawings and 3D visualizations.

Návrh stolového nábytku bez kovových a lepených spojů

The main objective of this work was to design and then manufacture a coffee table whose construction will not contain any metal and glued joints. In the first theoretical part, the thesis deals with the history of table furniture, its basic typology, safety requirements, relevant ergonomics and anthropometry, testing of table furniture, dimensional requirements for conference tables and possible usable surface finishes. Last but not least, the first part of the thesis deals with the various connecting techniques that could be used in the design, especially dismountable joints. The second part of the thesis deals with the design of the coffee table itself and its production in the scale of 1: 1.

Bachelor work is focused on design of construction solution of a coffee table to residential interiors with selection and application of height adjustable mechanism. Drawing respects ergonomics, accordingly when use height manipulation of coffee table it should be merely about short-term possibility of work activity and long-term possibility of postponement of objects. The theoretical part of work contains development, options, properties, availability and evaluation height adjustable types of a furniture fittings further appropriate application related to this issue and their combination. Design of contstruction of bedside table is made in the form of drawing documentation in common with bills of materials, materials outlay and visualization.

The diploma thesis at first deals with the analysis of furniture CNC machining centers, which leads to the selection of the most suitable machine for a specific company. Second part of the thesis is to design furniture that is adapted for production on the furniture CNC machining center. Coffee table is chosen for design and manufacturing. The thesis contains both a theoretical study of the problems of CNC manufactured table furniture and practical part which describes the process of selection a suitable machine for a specific company and also describes whole process of creating a new furniture. The creation itself is described from sketches through material selection, appropriate joints to the prototype manufacturing. Coffee table which is designed and manufactured contains component, which is used in the design of dining and work table.
