Formování a vývoj cen pšenice potravinářské na příkladu České republiky

The thesis contains an evaluation of the situation and development of two commodity verticals with the following final products: wheat flour and wheat white bread baked goods. In the thesis there are identified factors influencing prices levels of the commodity verticals. I have made the price transmission too. By the average elasticity coefficients calculating (EPT) there was analyzed the price transmission at the verticals commodity. This analysis confirmed the functioning of the demand-oriented model, in which the subsequent links of the chain influence the prior ones. Furthermore, it was found that at the both levels of commodity verticals it leads to the significantly higher price transmission in the case of inflation than to decrease. The determination coefficients of commodity verticals confirmed slight time delay at the first and second stage of these verticals.

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the development of wheat commodity vertical, characterize the decisive markets commodity verticals and to describe their current development. The first part describes the basic concepts that are closely related to the topic of bachelor thesis. The thesis explains economic theories about the functioning of the market, agribusiness and describes the selected commodity with the course of the whole commodity verticals. In the second, practical part, are analyzed and graphically processed factors, which influencing the commodity market. The conclusion of the thesis is the evaluation of all acquired data and knowledge. The work evaluated the development of growing areas, production, yields, consumption and production, price development, as well as the foreign market. The growing market power was confirmed by the results of individual commodity verticals.

The aim of the thesis "The Economic Context of Dairy Production in a Specific Enterprise" is to analyze cattle breeding in a selected farm. The thesis deals with the analysis of an agrarian sector, the breakdown of a commodity chain of milk and the prices development within a commodity chain. It also deals with breeding of milking cattle in the Czech Republic and it describes indicators that affect the breeding. The economic analysis of milking cattle breeding in a selected company was created for the years 2012-2016. The analysis deals with the testing the quantity of the produced milk, its quality and purchase prices. In addition, the herd turnover is considered and all the costs and incomes of the breeding are analyzed. Despite the fact that the average milk yield increased in the company in the monitored period and the milk reached excellent values of fats and proteins, the breeding of milking cattle was loss-making, even after the subsidies were figured in.

The diploma thesis is focused on identification of factors influencing commodity vertical of sheep. This vertical is compared with similar commodity of goat. The thesis classifies the development of this commodity on the market in Czech republic and compares it with the development in the market of EU member states. The study evaluates the development of sheep quantity status. The supply and demand side of the market as well as the proportional changes related to the foreign trade of the Czech Republic with this commodity are also examined. On the basis of the data determined by the market analysis, this commodity is evaluated. On the basis of the results obtained, it can be stated that the sheep commodity is only a marginal commodity in the Czech Republic and within the EU belongs the Czech Republic among the states with the smallest sheep population.

The diploma thesis deals with the factors and connections of forming of commodity chain of milk. It shows not only the domestic milk market but also selected countries of the European Union and selected parts of the world. The work also shows and evaluates the changes that have arisen regarding joining the European Union, with this there is connection with the entry to the common market and the introduction of new instruments of the common agricultural policy. To analyze the changes it uses the results of analyzes of dairy cows development, utility, total milk production, dairy products and their total consumption. Further on, the work specifies the business sphere, captures the concentration of the largest processors in the Czech Republic and in the world, who determine the market price. Within the common market, the work also displays foreign trade, using the results of milk export and import analyzes and milk products analyzes. Using standard methodological procedures and monthly price overview of milk, butter and Eidam cheese, the position of primary producers, processors and end consumers is analyzed through the coefficient of elasticity of price transmission and the inter-market price difference for the period of 2002–2018.

This diploma thesis analyzes production and price aspects in commodity meat vertical. The literary research defines the necessary terminology that characterizes the current form of agribusiness and the functioning of markets within commodity verticals. The empirical part of diploma thesis is based on use quantitative methods. Main part of diploma thesis is characterized consumer market, processing market and market of primary agricultural production of the examined commodity. Price transmission analysis based on monthly prices of selected products is performed to explain the price context in the meat commodity vertical. To explain the price context in the commodity vertical meat, an analysis of price transmission based on monthly prices of selected products is performed. In the conclusion, the main trends and factors influencing the formation of this vertical in the Czech Republic are summarized.

The diploma thesis deals with the changes of the Czech agriculture and their consequences on the changes in the entrepreneurial environment of farmers in the Czech Republic, caused by the development after the Velvet Revolution in 1989, but also the accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union and subsequent adoption of the rules of the Common Agricultural Policy. The work characterizes the state of agriculture and the development of the environment of primary agricultural production after the nineties in the framework of crop production, as a prerequisite for the analysis of the links between changes in the business environment of the agrarian sector and decisions of agricultural producers on the structure of crop production. After analyzing the production structure and economic situation of the selected farm, it was evaluated that changes in the business environment were reflected in the decision-making on the production structure of crop production. Specifically, the decision on the selection of cultivated crops, the intensification of crop production and the establishment of supplier-customer relationships have changed.

The thesis is focused on the nature of market environment of selected commodity – pork meat, especially on the impact on developmental trends in the Czech Republic. It describes the development on domestic market with pork meat as well as the development on foreign market of European Union countries, in terms of demand and supply. The thesis is focused also on price formation in pork meat commodity vertical and competitiveness of Czech producers of pork meat on common market. The thesis analyses the business sphere and market concentration of meat-processing plants and slaughterhouses in the Czech Republic, when it refers to the largest domestic market players. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of price transmission in terms of the position of agricultural primary producers, industrial processors and final chains on the Czech market based on monthly prices of pork roast with bone and boneless pork leg.

The thesis evaluates the development and situation of the beef commodity vertical in the Czech Republic, identifying influential factors in the period 2000–2017. This thesis also focuses on the development of the market environment of the commodity chain of beef meat, the focus is on the cattle population and the commodity of beef meat in the Czech Republic in the set time horizon. Furthermore, analysis of the production and consumption of beef meat has been conducted with the connection to the tendencies of the demand and supply. Thereafter, a part of the thesis deals with the foreign trade with focus on export and import of cattle and beef meat where a dynamic development of the market in Turkey has been observed. In the last part of the thesis, the identification of the influences on the price level in the commodity chain has been done. Subsequently, an analysis of the development of the prices from the agriculture producers, the prices from the industry producers, the consumer prices and the index prices has been conducted in the time horizon in the years 2000 – 2017 with a follow-up analysis of the price transmission of the commodity chain of boneless front quarter beef meat and boneless hind quarter beef meat.
The Impact of Coffee Demand on its Production

The production of coffee, one of the world‘s most popular drinks, is experiencing a movement forward due to the progressive coffee drinking culture. Consumers are becoming well-educated about the origin of coffee and its producers well-informed about their customers’ desires. This thesis aims to analyze modern trends in coffee consumption and its impact on coffee cultivation and processing. It should also define the principles of both the specialty and the mainstream coffee market and clarify the relationship between specialty coffee producers and green bean coffee buyers. The work also describes the journey of coffee from farm to cup from agricultural as well as from the economic point of view. The material for theoretic part was collected from several reliable sources; including professional literature, statistical reports, on-line scientific articles and personal experience from the coffee industry. For the practical part, questionnaire inquiry and online interviews were used to collect information.
