Implementation of the Monitoring and Evaluation of Suppliers

This diploma thesis deals with the system of monitoring and evaluation of suppliers at the company RayService, a.s.. The aim is the implementation of an integrated procedural approach within the office work with suppliers. Assortment and quantity of suppliers is now so wide that the existing non-systemic solutions prevent more effective manufacturing and overall development of the company. Everything must be consistent with possible sources of the company, for example IS Helios. The basic condition is availability of data and by this also easy work with them. The main measurement of suppliers at the company RayService is the OTD (on time delivery) of suppliers, which value is 93% today. This work should set up a system of monitoring and evaluation of suppliers at the company so that the growing trend of OTD (from the current 63% to target 93%) can start.

Selection and evaluation of suppliers in the construction industry

This diploma thesis deals with the selection and evaluation of suppliers in the construction industry. It is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on corporate purchasing, supplier selection and supplier evaluation and describes the methods that solve this problem. In the practical part, the theoretical knowledge is transferred into practice. There is a questionnaire responded to by the construction companies. Based on the results of the questionnaire, four hypotheses are compiled and tested. Three managed interviews with construction company employees are also recorded. The last part is a case study. It addresses the design of the system for the selection and evaluation of suppliers in a particular construction company.

The master thesis is focused on purchase in the company Měšťanský pivovar Havlíčkův Brod a.s. The theoretical part defines the basic function of the purchasing process. The next part contains an analysis of the current state. Deficiencies are defined based on theoretical knowledge and their possible solutions are proposed. The result is more efficient purchasing management and improvement of supplier-customer relationships.

The work is divided into three parts, namely theory, analysisnd suggestion solution. The first part focuses on the theory of purchasing and supplier classification. The analysis is concerned with the current state of the process of purchasing in the company and its demands on suppliers. Custom design solutions are developed according to business requirements and provided data.

This Diploma thesis analysis the supply environment of VKV HORÁK s.r.o. according to the requirements of the quality management ISO 9001:2001 regarding the suppliers rating. The thesis also analyses the present way of suppliers rating and brings new, more sofisticated model of rating using the fuzzy logic. The new method should succesfully solve the questions of suppliers rating and should be suitable for the firm according to the resources needed for its application.

This thesis deals with the aplication of fuzzy logic in the evaluation and optimal supplier of transport services using decision models that were created in Microsoft Excel and MathWorks MATLAB. The use of these decision models is to evaluate the services offered by individual suppliers on the basis of established criteria. The company will choose its future optimal supplier according to the final evaluation.

Risk of Choosing a Supplier Using Fuzzy Logic

The thesis deals with the design of a model used for evaluation and selection of fire-retardant footwear suppliers for the company Požární bezpečnost s. r. o. The thesis includes a summary of the theoretical foundation for processing the work, a presentation of the selected company and a draft of an evaluation model that assesses the contractor based on the chosen criteria and makes it easier for the company to make their decision. The model is created by using fuzzy logic in Microsoft Excel and MATLAB programs.
