Kvalita bankovních úvěrových portfolií a faktory jejich vývoje ve vybraných zemích EU

This diploma thesis focuses on the quality development of bank loan portfolios in the Czech Republic, Federal Republic of Germany and Italy between 2000-2013. Firstly, based on expert studies, the reader is acquainted with the theoretical and methodological bases assessing the quality of loan portfolios, as well as the determinants, which influence credit quality and, finally, with the characteristics of the banking sectors in selected countries. The empirical section of thesis focuses to evaluate the quality of the selected bank loan portfolios in watched period and through correlation analysis is examined which of the selected macroeconomic indicators (GDP, unemployment, inflation, interbank offered rate) mostly affects the loans quality of selected economies. Consequently, there is also a regression analysis to assess the joint impact of individual determinants on loans quality.

FINANCIAL GEOGRAPHY - AN APPLICATION OF SELECTED CONCEPTS IN TERMS OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC Abstract The aim of the thesis is to analyse the main trends of banking system in Czech Republic after 1989. It is primarily an analysis of centralised banking system, on the basis of which the potential regional impacts according to theory of regional segmentation of fiancial markets are tested. Based on the analysis of changes in the distribution of bank headquarters and the analysis of employment in financial sector it is clear, that in terms of the Czech Republic a highly concentrated banking system occured, which is moreover under the strong inluence of foreign capital. The study focused on testing the regional impacts of a centralized system through interviews with business owners in the peripheral region has not proved allegation of discrimination of entrepreneurs in such manner as we would expect according to the theory of regional segmentation of financial markets. However the study showed some problems with providing guarantees for bank loans in the periphery.
Financial Crisis in Economies with External Imbalances: A Comparative Analysis of Ireland and Spain

The financial crisis of 2007-08 has had momentous consequences for most developed countries and triggered recession on the global financial markets. Consequently, economies with pre- existing deficiencies were hit in particular. In the European Union, especially two groups of member states with specific imbalances could be discerned. This thesis is intended to discuss the impacts on economies with external imbalances, where the crisis was not rooted in public finance profligacy. The main protagonists, Ireland and Spain, experienced resembling economic boom prior to the crisis, later accompanied by accumulation of foreign debt and real estate bubbles. Nonetheless, despite the strong similarities in their economic development their paths diverged after the bust, and Ireland has been given as an example for successful austerity. This thesis presents key determinative factors which differentiated Spain from Ireland in the reviving processes to discuss the hypothesis that the Irish recovery was generated solely by the implemented countermeasures and that it can therefore be considered a model for future crisis management. Psychosocial Risks and Stress at Work

The diploma thesis deals with psychosocial risks and stress in work. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to the definition and characteristics of psychosocial risks and stress. Furthermore, the legislative entrenchment of psychosocial risks in the Czech Republic and the European Union is described. The theoretical assumptions are concluded by the definition of psychosocial risk management. The methodological part is devoted to the quantitative survey, which is focused on the psychosocial risks of bank advisers of the company. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, appropriate recommendations are made to reduce psychosocial risks in the company.

This bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of bank intermediation development in the Republic of Poland and Hungary between the years of 2002 and 2014. In the thesis, there are also determined the macroeconomic and sectoral indicators that influence the development of the intermediation. The linear dependence of these indicators and those of bank intermediation is examined through correlation analysis.

The aim of my bachelor thesis was to find out what impact the introduction of the euro has on the banking sector in Slovakia and Slovenia. The period under review was between 2000 and 2015. At the beginning, I compared the banking sectors in these countries. I also outlined the costs and benefits of introducing a common currency for the banking sector. In my research, I suggested the development of basic banking indicators before and just after the introduction of the euro. Because of the Slovenian banking crisis in the period under review, I mentioned the reason for its origin and the way the bank crisis was solved. In my own research, I was looking for structural breakthroughs in asset development, pre-tax profits and asset returns for the banking sector in Slovakia and Slovenia. On conclusion I commented on my results.

Diploma thesis is aimed at analysis of the new rules of banking regulation Basel III and their impact on the Czech banking sector. It describes the development of the rules issued by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, their structure and then compares their differences. The thesis also presents an analysis of expert studies and empirical research on Basel III and its potential impact on the bank-ing sector and economy. It also deals with the impact of new regulation require-ments on selected indicators of banking sector performance and selected banks. The last part of the thesis deals with an outline of possible future development of banking regulation with a focus on the Czech banking sector.

The diploma thesis focuses on the performance evaluation of a group of large banks in the Czech Republic for the period 2005-2015. It is worked with four large banks based on CNB classification. The work is based on expert studies, which solves the problem of large banks - their profitability, risk and liquidity. The core of the work is financial analysis, which is used to evaluate the internal environment of large banks. The external environment of large banks is defined by SWOT and PESTE analyses. Based on the results, recommendations for the large banks are set.

The attention is focused on factors affecting provided services to clients of the banking sector. The time series are analysed by testing structural breaks. The growth rates of this time series and changes are also analysed. For example, in this thesis are analysed this time se-ries: profits, number of employees, distribution networks, amount of loans or amount of deposits. The issue of deposits and loans is further analysed in detail, for example on a time, sector or specific basis.
