The expressionistic imagining of the world in the work of Bohuslav Reynek

The aim of the work is to reconstruct the image of the world /as it is presented /presented by Reynek's early works and observe whether and in which aspects it is influenced by expressionism. The thesis is based on the/ an analysis of themes that appear in three early volumes of poems usually tagged as expressionistic. Titles of these three volumes are Rybí šupiny, Had na sněhu and Rty a zuby. While analyzing them, the work concentrates on themes that refer to affinity with expressionism. Therefore, themes of disintegration, fragmentation, destruction of the world are concerned as well as apocalyptical vision, feelings of vanity and debt and looking for the true essence of the world. In addition, motives of sin, evil and death are listed. The second part of the thesis is focused on aspects of graphic art in Reynek's early poems, of which the function of colours and ornamentalization is discussed the most.
