Cooperation kindergarten with family

The diploma thesis is based on long-term personal experiences of a teacher and a headmaster of a kindergarten. In the theoretical part the establishment and gradual development of a kindergarten as an institution is described. From the point of view of personality-oriented teaching approach different solutions for co-operation between a school and a family are stated, with an emphasis on the importance of a kindergarten teacher's role. Co-operation between a kindergarten and a family is divided into three basic categories related to a child's development of maturation. The empirical part of the work presents the research which is focused on not only the parent's opinions, but also their expectations and willingness to co-operate with a kindergarten; teachers' opinions are also stated. The results are presented in the final discussion.
