Monitoring of physico-chemical parameters on selected fisponds of the Vrbenské system
NEUŽIL, Tomáš
The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to measure selected physical and chemical indicators and then compare them with measurements that were carried out in previous years at individual ponds of the Vrbenské system near the statutory city of České Budějovice. Measurements took place at monthly intervals in the morning from April to September 2023. The measured physical parameters were water temperature and transparency. The measured chemical parameters were pH, O2 saturation in the water column and electrical conductivity.
Critically endangered Large Heath butterfly in Šumava: situation, trends and threats
JANDOVÁ, Kateřina
The main goal of this work was to map the occurrence of the large heath (Coenonympha tullia) from the Nymphalidae family in the Bohemian Forest National Park. This species currently occurs in the Czech Republic only in the Bohemian Forest peatlands up to an altitude of 900 m above sea level and very rarely in the Třeboň region (Hanč et al., 2019). Monitoring took place in June 2023 in the Bohemian Forest peatlands in the Moldau floodplain. I visited in total 51 sites with a potential distribution of the species. The large heath (Coenonympha tullia) was found in 11 of them. I monitored also several potential predictors of the butterfly occurrence, including an information about the distribution of its host plants, cottonsedge (Eriophorum vaginatum) and common cottongrass (Eriophorum angustifolium). Subsequent statistical comparison of various indicators at the sites from 2023 with monitoring from 2021 (Fric and Walter, 2022) showed that indeed the Bohemian Forest peatlands are drying out. After comparing the number of large heath (Coenonympha tullia) individuals, it was found that the number of individuals in 2023 was higher than in 2021.
Analýza výskytu a příčin zánětů vemene v chovu dojnic
MESTLOVÁ, Kristýna
Bovine mastitis is the most frequent, serious and costly disease of dairy cows. The thesis deals with the evaluation of the frequency of mastitis and its relation to the somatic cells counts in milk in two dairy herds. In addition, it concentrates knowledge in the area of their monitoring, prevention of occurrence and summarizes the most common causes, treatment options and economic impacts in dairy herds. Data from the period 2022 - 2023 were used for the evaluation. The first herd was composed of Czech Fleckvieh cattle cows, the second herd of Holstein dairy cows. In 2022, the average number of somatic cells (SCC) in the first herd was 270 thousand/ml, and in 2023 the number increased to 317 thousand/ml of milk. In the second herd, SCC in 2022 averaged 345 thousand/ml, and in 2023 it increased to 361 thousand/ml of milk. In the first herd with the number of mastitis, the arithmetic mean of PSB often rises. But this does not apply in the second herd. PSB was highest in both herds during the summer months. The average PSB in the Holstein cattle herd was overall higher than in the Czech Fleckvieh cattle herd, despite the fact that, according to the available information, prevention against mastitis is much more perfect in the Holstein herd. In both monitored herds, the highest number of cases occurred in the period from 101 to 200 days of lactation, and the fewest occurred in the period from 31 to 60 days of lactation. In both herds, there are dairy cows that do not show the clinical form of the disease, but have a permanently increased number of somatic cells. A total of 108 treated animals were recorded in the herd 1 and 108 cows in the herd 2, and the number of somatic cells at the time of developing the disease was not always authoritative.

Fast Processing of Application-Layer Protocols
Bárta, Stanislav ; Martínek, Tomáš (referee) ; Polčák, Libor (advisor)
This master's thesis describes the design and implementation of system for processing application protocols in high-speed networks using the concept of Software Defined Monitoring. The proposed solution benefits from hardware accelerated network card performing pre-processing of network traffic based on the feedback from monitoring applications. The proposed system performs pre-processing and filtering of network traffic which is handed afterwards passed to application modules. Application modules process application protocols and generate metadata that describe network traffic. Pre-processing consists of parsing of network protocols up to the transport layer, TCP reassembling and forwarding packet flow only to modules that are looking for a given network traffic. The proposed system closely links intercept related information internal interception function (IRI-IIF) and content of communication internal interception function (CC-IIF) to minimize the performing of duplicate operations and increase the efficiency of the system.
Monitoring masonry buildings affected by the surrounding construction
Kirschbaum, Adam ; Heřmánková, Věra (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with monitoring of a building object affected by a surrounding construction. In the first, theoretical part the defect of wall constructions, ways of measuring wall cracks and possibilities of a static load are described.
