Nulíčková, Denisa ; Benešová, Lucie (advisor) ; Málková, Magdaléna (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Denisa Nulíčková Supervisor: Mgr. Lucie Benešová Title: Functional movement disorders of the temporomandibular joint in women of working age Abstract: The bachelor thesis deals with functional disorders of the temporomandibular joint in women of working age. The thesis is a diagnostic work. The main aim is to evaluate the most common functional changes and general common features of patients with temporomandibular joint dysfunction by means of extended kinesiological analysis. The sub-objective is to map the quality of life and the presence of stress factors in the patients' lives. The second sub-objective is to elaborate the proposal and goals of the physiotherapy intervention. The theoretical part, in addition to short chapters describing the anatomy and biomechanics of the temporomandibular joint, deals with functional temporomandibular disorders. It provides a comprehensive overview of their causes, symptomatology and relationship to other body structures. It also summarizes the consequences of excessive psychological stress in the context of these disorders and describes conservative methods of treatment. The practical part of the thesis consists of 5 case studies, which include detailed initial examinations. The standard kinesiological analysis is enriched with...
Importance of physiotherapy intervention in school-age children with functional scoliotic posture
HLOUPÁ, Veronika
The bachelor thesis is about a physiotherapy in school-aged children with the functional scoliotic posture. In a theoretical part I started with a description of poor body posture in general and then I explained the difference between scoliotic posture and scoliosis. I mentioned an anatomical data about spine and deep stabilization system. I characterized the school age and I wrote about the scoliotic posture prevention and therapy. In a subsection about the therapy, I mentioned a question how to motivate children to exercise. In the end of the theoretical part, I described several physiotherapeutic methods, which are appropriate for the scoliotic posture therapy. A practical part of my bachelor thesis is processed by qualitative research using three case reports worked out about school- aged children with the functional scoliotic posture. The research was going on for almost three months. In the beginning of the study, I took an anamnesis and an initial kinesiological analysis. Therapies were put together on the basis the initial kinesiological analysis and children practiced exercises which were chosen with my supervisor before the research started. In the end of the study, I evaluated results using a final kinesiological analysis. In a chapter Methodology I described examinations I did with children within kinesiological analysis. Goals of my bachelor thesis was outlining the issue of the functional scoliotic posture in school-aged children and suggesting suitable physiotherapeutic methods for therapy of school-aged children with the functional scoliotic posture. The bachelor thesis can be used as source of information for physiotherapists in practise, students of physiotherapy or for parents of school-aged children with the functional scoliotic posture or with risk of its formation.
Principles of complex physiotherapy in childless women aged 20-40 years with functional disorders of the menstrual cycle
VÍTOVÁ, Alena
The topic of my bachelor´s thesis deals with principles of physiotherapy for childless women aged 20-40 with functional disorders of the menstrual cycle. The aim of this work is to describe the possibilities of physiotherapy for women with functional disorders of the menstrual cycle and their subsequent practical use, which is described in the kinesiological analyses of individual subjects. This thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with physiology and pathology of the menstrual cycle, the functional anatomy of the pelvic floor and the possibilities of therapy for menstrual disorders. The practical part is devoted to own research, in which three women with functional disorders of the menstrual cycle took part. In the practical part of the research, each subject underwent and initial kinesiology analysis and then an exercise unit was put together, which the participants practiced at home for two months. During this time frame, weekly appointments were scheduled for examination and follow-up therapy; the meetings were concluded by checking the exercises and adding new ones. At the end of the research, and output kinesiology analysis was performed, which was compared with the data obtained during the initial examination. The research can be considered beneficial, as it was possible to observe the positive effects of the therapy in all participants. However, for each woman the therapy had a different effect on solving menstrual problems. The word can serve physiotherapists and women who suffer from functional disorders of the menstrual cycle as a way to solve their problems other than pharmacologically.
Physiotherapy of the musculoskeletal disorders in artistic gymnasts
TOMASCHKO, Lukáš
This bachelor thesis deals with disorders of the musculoskeletal system in artistic gymnasts and the possibilities to influence them with physiotherapy. The preparation of artistic gymnasts begins at a very early age when the body is not yet sufficiently developed. Due to early specialisation and excessive load, disorders of the musculoskeletal system may arise. Within physiotherapy, these disorders can be solved and, to some extent, prevented. The aim of the thesis was to find out what disorders of the musculoskeletal system selected artistic gymnasts suffer and to choose appropriate therapy. Other aim was to find out how to prevent frequent functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system in artistic gymnasts. In the theoretical part, artistic gymnastics, its history, the specifics of training and the system of competitions are characterized. Other chapters deal with functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their chaining, muscle imbalances, hypermobility, as well as disorders of the musculoskeletal system and injuries in artistic gymnasts, also the theoretical part of used kinesiotherapy methods. In the practical part, examining methods in physiotherapy and obtained data from research are described. The research was attended by 3 artistic gymnasts from Merkur České Budějovice, z.s. team and lasted in the range of 8 therapies. The research was carried out in the form of processing individual case reports, which include anamnesis, initial kinesiological analysis, proposal of short-term and long-term physiotherapy plan, course of each therapy and output kinesiological analysis. Based on the data obtained, a compensatory exercise was created and processed into a manual. The research showed that in selected gymnasts, disorders most often occurred in the area of the shoulder girdle, the transition of the thoracic and lumbar spine, the lumbar spine, in the area of the ankle joints, as well as the weakening of the deep stabilizing system. This work can be used in the practice of clinical and sports physiotherapists, or to expand the awareness of gymnastics coaches.
Possibilities of influencing muscle imbalances in canoeists through physiotherapy
HAVRLANTOVÁ, Marie
This bachelor's thesis deals with muscle imbalances in canoeists and possibilities of their influence through physiotherapy. Canoeing, specifically whitewater kayaking, is a power-endurance water sport, whose goal is to pass across the river stretch as soon as possible. This sport puts high demands on the shoulder muscles and the trunk, on which different muscle imbalances arise, that are impaired by inappropriate compensatory exercise and poor stretching and can lead to injury. The aim of this thesis is to find out, what muscle imbalances and postural disorders occur in canoeists (whitewater kayakers) and how can one influence these problems with physiotherapy. The first (theoretical) part describes the general knowledge about canoeing - history, characteristics and the kinesiology of the paddling movement. Furthermore, sports training, muscle imbalances and sport medicine are generally described there. The second (practical) part describes the physiotherapeutical methods used in this study. It also contains the results of the research itself, which was processed in the form of case studies. Each case study comprises of anamnesis, initial kinesiological examination, the course of the individual therapies, final kinesiological examination and the final evaluation of therapy. The research lasted in the lenght of 8 therapies. The research showed, that the most common muscle imbalances in whitewater kayakers are: weakening of the deep stabilization system, upper cross syndrome and shortening of the hip flexors. With these imbalances are associated postural disorders in the form of increased lumbar lordosis and thoracic kyphosis, shoulder protraction and forwarded head posture. This thesis can be used in the practice of physiotherapy, sports coaches or as an educational material for a specific group of sportsman.
Brugger concept and its usage for the correction of wrong body posture and its prevention of occurrence of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system
KRATKOVÁ, Kateřina
In my bachelor 's thesis I dealt with the use of Brügger' s concept in therapy and its relation to the influence of bad posture and functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The theoretical part deals with the description of Brügger's concept and basic concepts, which Dr. Alois Brügger defined. Examples are tendomyosis, functional muscle contracture, disturbing factors and more. In the theoretical part I also mention diagnostics and describe in detail the possibilities of therapy according to Brügger's concept. Therapy includes, for example, preparatory measures, passive and active therapeutic procedures, VDT correction or ADL training. I also briefly mention the connection with gross motor skills - postural and locomotor system, especially in terms of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system and bad posture, which was also one of the goals of my work. Another goal of my work was to describe Brügger's concept and to build a suitable exercise unit that will positively affect these disorders. My practical part was processed in the form of qualitative research. In total, I processed three case reports. The initial kinesiological examination was included, including a detailed anamnesis. This was followed by the implementation of an exercise unit during 10 meetings for about two months. Subsequently, the output kinesiological analysis was performed and its comparison with the input kinesiology was also made. I found out the results, thanks to which I could answer my research questions. In conclusion, it could be said that the health condition of the probands has improved, however, a control with an interval of several months would be appropriate, where the effectiveness of the therapy would be much better.
Physiotherapy in women with dysmenorrhea
POLENOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis deals with the reduction or even elimination of pain or any other discomfort connected with menstruation while using physiotherapeutic methods. The aim of this thesis is to describe frequent functional disorders of the locomotor system for women suffering from dysmenorrhea. The theoretical part also includes information about anatomy and physiology of deep stabilizing system and female reproductive system. The second aim of this thesis - to create a workout plan for the patients - was achieved based on the functional disorders in every patient during initial kinesiology analysis. Women performed at home the suggested exercise for five months. An appointment was arranged with each patient once in two weeks. The patients regularly got new exercises from the workout plan and were checked out during these appointments. At the end of the research a final kinesiology analysis was performed, and it was compared with the information gathered during the initial kinesiology analysis. These differences are mentioned later in discussion, together with comparison of all information acquired during the research including the sources used. All women subjectively noticed lower intensity of menstrual pain at the end of the research. Their assessments differ. This thesis can serve physiotherapists but also the public, mainly women suffering regularly with menstrual pain. It can be an option of solution of their problem in a different point of view than pharmacological.
Detection of the most common functional disorders of the movement system of children attending the No Limit dance studio in České Budějovice
ŠTINDLOVÁ, Tereza
The diploma thesis is aimed at detecting functional disorders of the movement system, which are most found in dancers attending the dance studio No Limit. Twelve girls took part in the testing and were subjected to standardized tests. According to the results of the initial testing of individual probands, their personal characteristics of the detected disorders were processed. Then a set of compensatory exercises was designed, which was introduced into the training unit. The compensation program was to be applied for 8 weeks, always after dance training twice a week. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the compensation program had to be terminated prematurely and its effectiveness could not be verified through exit compensation program. The diploma thesis is even more concerned with the results of the entrance testing, the interconnection of individual test results with each other for individual probands and the overall characteristics of the tested group. Evaluation of posture by the method of Jaroš and Lomíček showed that 50% of girls had good (almost perfect) posture, 42% of girls had poor posture and 8% of girls had very poor posture. Hypermobility was demonstrated in at least one trial in 100% of girls. On the contrary, muscle shortening was not particularly pronounced due to numerous hypermobility. The shortening of the triceps was more pronounced in 50% of girls and the shortening of the scapula lifts in 33% of girls. In the tests of muscle weakness, the most common weakness of the gluteal muscles was in 75% of girls, the weakening of the lower scapular fixators in 50% of girls and the weakening of the direct abdominal muscle in 50% of girls.

Klausová, Kateřina ; Bártů, Iva (advisor) ; Blažková, Hana (referee)
UNIVERZITA KARLOVA V PRAZE 2. lékařská fakulta Oddělení klinické hematologie ve FN Motol Kateřina Klausová Detection of functional disorders of platelets using the PFA device in comparison with conventional aggregometry Bachelor work Abstract The theme of this work is to compare two devices designed for measuring functional disorders of platelets - the PFA device and the agreggometer. The PFA device was introduced recently and measures closure time of capillary in a special cartridge. The measurement takes place in a whole blood sample. Aggregometer is used for stimulation of platelet aggregation by the inductors. The measurement takes place in platelet rich plasma. This work compares results of patients whose blood samples were measured on both devices. It figures out whether the results of the devices match and describes their advantages and disadvantages. The work leads to conclusion that is appropriate to use both devices for complementary results in the laboratory. Comparsion of patient samples demonstrates that patients with reduced percentage of aggregation have also prolonged capillary closure time.
