Single-family house in Domanín
Raiskubová, Lenka ; Jechová, Marie (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to develop project documentation for a building permit for a new family house. The new building is situated on the edge of the built-up area of the village of Domanín near Uherské Hradiště. It is a two-story house with a gable roof, a cellar and a garage next to the house. The floor plan of the building is rectangular. The house has 142 m2. The vertical load-bearing wall is made of burnt blocks filled with mineral wool. The horizontal construction system is designed from a prefa-monolithic system. The roof structure on the house is a truss. On the first floor in the northern part of the house there is a vestibule, utility room, bathroom and separate toilet. The living room and kitchen are oriented to the southwest. On the second floor there are two rooms and one bedroom, a common dressing room, a bathroom with a shower and a bath and a separate toilet. 10 photovoltaic panels are designed on the house, which will cover the electricity consumption from May to September. The MVHR is located in the utility room. From the utility room, the wiring is located in the ceiling voids. The system is designed to provide a background ventilation rate of 330 m3/h. The house is heated by underfloor heating supplemented by towel radiators in the bathrooms. The hot water cylinder tank accumulates warm water from the air to water heat pump. Domestic hot water is supplied from a 230l hot water tank. Rainwater will be channeled into a accumulates tank and subsequently used to water the garden. The project includes a thermal and technical assessment of the building, an assessment from the point of view of acoustics and daylighting, and an assessment of the fire and safety solution of the building. The project documentation was developed in the Archicad software.

Ceiling on a first floor is from a timber with a suspended ceiling. Windows and entrance door have wooden frame with triple glazing. Pitched roof is a timber structure with a metal roofing. There is no connection to water infrastructure, so a well is designed for drinking water supply, along with a storage for rain water, used for flushing, washing clothes and watering garden. Floor heating and cooling are provided by an ground-water heat pump. Ventilation is provided by a ventilation unit with heat recovery, while fresh air will be supplied to living rooms and extracted from sanitary facilities. In the southern section, roofing contains integrated photovoltaic panels.

The building is based on foundation strips made from reinforced concrete. The building is conceptual design of eletricity, water supply, sewer pipes, air conditioning and photovoltaic panels on the roof of the building. The photovoltaic panel will be placed on the roof of the building. My main concept design is focused on heating. A floor heating system will be done with hot water in pipes with heat pump. Rainwater will be accumulated in a tank and further used for garden irrigation. Excess water will be infiltrated into the ground no the property. The documentation also includes the Building’s Energy Performance Certificate.
Detached house Sadová
Balog, Diana ; Vlach, František (referee) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to design a two-story detached house. The project is divided into two parts. The first part contains the architectural and construction solutions for the project documentation required for building permission, while the second part contains building environment engineering. The project also includes a fire safety solution, Building Energy Performance Certificate, daylighting assessment and an assessment of acoustics. The building is located in the cadastral unit Sadová in Brno. It is situated on a flat plot. The building´s architectural appearance blends into the surrounding development. Building is based on reinforced concrete strip foundations. The building is designed in the masonry construction system consisting of ceramic blocks and it has a flat roof. The house is insulated by the ETICS system. The load-bearing walls in the garage are made of ceramic blocks filled with mineral wool insulation. The garage has a flat green roof. The floor slab structure is designed as a prefabricated system with ceramic blocks and reinforced concrete. The main entrance is oriented to the north. On the first floor is situated a social zone that consists of living room with kitchen, office, entrance, walk-in closet, bathroom and WC. On the second floor is located a private zone consisting of master bedroom with two walk-in closets, two children´s bedrooms and a bathroom. The building is connected to the sanitary and stormwater sewer, water supply system and electricity. Rainwater management on the property is designed with stormwater tank. The building is heated by an air-to-water heat pump that distributes heat throughout the house using floor heating. In the bathrooms, there is electrical heating system by ladder radiator. Air exchange in the house is provided by a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery.

Single-family house Jedle
Mikuta, Jakub ; Jechová, Marie (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to design a masonry part of the model nearly zero-energy semi detached house located in Brno. The thesis has two parts. The first part deals with architectural and structural design, building physics assessment and fire safety report. The second part presents the design of building services and energy performance certificate. The building is a rectangular, two-storey structure with a wetland flat roof. On the ground floor, there is an open plan kitchen connected with a living room, a separate toilet, a utility room, and a storage space. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The house stands on a flat plot and it is built on an insulated concrete slab. The vertical structures of the house are masonry and made of hollow ceramic blocks. The external walls are designed with a ventilated facade insulated with mineral wool. The horizontal structures are made from precast concrete beams combined with hollow ceramic blocks and concrete screed. The building is heated with air-water heat pump, which is used for heating up domestic hot water and water for a floor heating system. A ventilation unit with heat recovery is used for mechanical ventilation. Detailed part of the building services design consists of plumbing, rainwater, and greywater management. Greywater is treated in wetland roof, that works as treatment wetland. Cleaned greywater and rainwater are stored in a tank and used for flushing the toilets and irrigation. The house has 2,76 kWp PV system generating electricity. The bachelor’s project is elaborated in ArchiCAD software.
The Ventilated Facades
Hrabovský, Kristián
The topic of this article is ventilated facades. My doctoral studies are focused on ventilated facades. This article deals with the basic division of ventilated facades, design procedures according to standards and the different types of ventilated facades. The ventilated facades have a lot of using. For example, architectural design of the building or avoiding overheating, or the creation of a vegetation wall. The disadvantage of this type of facades is mainly the complexity of the design, and the price of execution. The focus of this paper is to highlight different perspectives.
