The theme of politics, education and woman in the novel Los trabajos del infatigable Pío Cid by Ángel Ganivet

This thesis explores the themes of politics, education, and women in the book Los trabajos del infatigable creador Pío Cid by Ángel Ganivet. First part of the thesis deals with contextualizing the book regarding contemporary historical and political events as well as literature. Author's biography is provided, given it is strongly reflected in the protagonist's (Pio Cid) thinking, attitudes, and actions. An overview of 20th century philosophy movements is also provided, considering they influenced the authors of Generation of '98, to whom Ángel Ganivet is considered a precursor. Subsequently, a detailed analysis of each theme as well as their interconnection will be conducted. Key words Ángel Ganivet, Generation 98, politics, education, women, reform, philosophy
